Quick question... Is pure strike 2017 foam filled? It feels like one but my handle is empty so it got me confused...

I will follow up on this with our product team.

yea, so are you working on that Extended version of Pure Strike 100 ? Thank you

At this time, there are no plans for an extended Pure Strike 100. I will keep you posted if that changes.

@Babolat Official Will the grommets of the PSPO7 18x20 fit into the OG PS18x20 or even PST? The PSP07 are 21.3mm and the other PS are 21.0.
Thanks.

The grommets of the Pure Strike 17 18x20 will not fit the original Pure Strike. FSI Power technology means the crosses have wider spacing, so the string pattern is not identical. Let me confirm on the original 18x20 and Tour.

I heard that the pure aero VS and pure aero VS tour are not going to come to australia :(
@Babolat Official and @Babolat Australia can you please confirm this?

And if it isn't coming to australia, what's my best option in terms of getting a couple of these awesome sticks to me?

@Guy Sancataldo, I've recently heard that the TW Affiliate in Australia, Tennis Only, will be selling both the PA VS and PA VS Tour models from mid December. You may wish to confirm this with them directly.

hi, string recommendation for Pure aero?

What are you looking for in your string? That will help with my recommendation.

I am looking for more control than power (60 to 40). I also want something that is durable, not too stiff and gives me good pop on the second serve.

Any new string releases on the horizon? RPM Blast was great when it first came out, but that was a number of years ago now, and there are far superior shaped polys available in terms of spin and durability. It feels like Babolat have been left behind a bit when it comes to spin friendly strings.

Yeh tennis only was looking to stock them, however the distributor for australia decided not to stock the pure aero vs and vs tour as of 2 weeks ago

Have you tried Origin? It's a soft monofilament polyamide. The monofilament construction gives it a crisper feel and increased durability, while the polyamide keeps it softer. I'd try that out.

We appreciate the feedback on strings. Stay tuned...

Babolat, how long will the Stars and Stripes pure aero be around? I am planning on picking up a couple with holiday money this Christmas if they are still available.

Finally playing with a Babolat after all these years. Really loving the Pure Aero. I think it will be my new racquet.

The Stars & Stripes was a limited edition racket, so there will be no further rackets manufactured. It's best to check with TW to see what they have left in stock.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it. What are you stringing the frame with?

Bab spiraltek syn gut @ 55. Thoughts? I know it's kind of nuts to use this frame without poly.

Every player has different needs. Poly will suit some folks' game, but not others. I use (and prefer) Origin, for example. It's up to you what you need and look for in your game. How is the Spiraltek treating you?

It's the same mold as the Pure Control. It will have a 16x20 pattern.

Spiraltek is a versatile string that can do several things well. If you're looking for more power or control, I can recommend different options as well.
Well that's exciting news! Thanks again!

I always wanted you guys to make a 98 square inch version of the Pure Drive. It would be an amazing stick.

hmm..it would be interesting...Some might say not much difference 97/98 to 100 inches but atleast I felt the difference on court with some models.

I used to play with a pure drive roddick but wanted a tad more control with the whole power feel. so i left bab for the yonex ezone ai 98. But have made my return to the bab with the return of the aerostorm. But I would still want a 98 pure drive

@Babolat Official Just wondering if you have found any information about the aero VS and VS tour coming to Aus?
If it is coming when will it be available for purchase?
If it is not coming what are my options in terms of purchasing one of these frames?

Hi Babolat Official: I'm wondering if you could compare the new Pure Strike Project One7 to the 2013 APD. Of course, I'll demo... I used a Pure Aero for a few months and went back to my 2013 APD. I'm hoping that Babolat has evolved the new PS to be a blend of the best of both the 2013 APD and the Pure Aero :) . With a little less power and more control, of course. Am I dreaming?

I've been off of the Ai98 for a while now. It doesn't fit too naturally into my FH. But I've played great tennis with it, I still love it. I still love my Princes but the PA is just something different. I like variety.

I use the normal PA, but weighted up to 12oz+.

Sweet that should make it softer feeling, good luck with the elbow and shoulder, hopefully the extra weight will make it more comfy.
How have you found the grommets? apparently a solution to the problem is close

What's the grommet problem?

And it's comfy enough for me so far. I play with syn gut so it's not that big of a deal. I think it's comfier than my Super G 8.

That's pretty comfy then... The grommet design left strings exposed at the top, resulting in string breakage, especially for "scrapers" That apparently has been fixed by the team in Lyon. Some aren't affected at all. My stringer has done plenty PA jobs as a result...

Ahhh yes I thought that's what you meant. I covered it with bumper guard tape to hopefully stop any problems...

Seems to be a good temp. option... rumour has it the team has developed a new design without altering specs like SW....

That's good, although I don't mind the extra weight.

It's really dumb that it's even an issue in the first place though.

Unfortunately, the Pure Aero VS & VS Tour will not be coming in to Australia. There's a few things you can do here:

-Talk to your dealers and let them know you have an interest in the Aero VS & VS Tour. Demonstrating that demand helps them know what best to bring in.
-Reach out to Tennis Warehouse Europe and see how they can help.

It'll really come down to demoing. The Pure Strike has less power and spin than the Pure Aero, but more control. The APD 2013 also had more power and spin than the current Pure Strike 16x19.

If you're trying to replicate the APD 2013, the Pure Aero is a better bet. The current Pure Strike will have less power and spin, but more control than both.

Wasn't there a playtest of the new Strike rackets? I haven't seen anything about that in a while. Did I miss something along the way?

Babolat Official, will previous Pure Aero users be entitled to a set of grommets? Granted we payed 220 a pop, some 7 dollar pieces of plastic would be pretty nice to us loyal long time babolat users :(

Thanks for your reply.
I used the Pure Aero for three months. While there were enticing aspects about the frame, it wasn't for me. I'm looking forward to demoing the new pure strike 16X19, but the bar is set so high with my 2013 APD :) .

If your Pure Aero grommets are having the pre-mature wearing issue that has been noted, then yes, we can help you out. We'll have them soon, and once we receive them, I will let you know.

Demoing is always the best option. Let us know what you think :)

Contact TW and they'll coordinate with us to begin the process.

@Babolat Official Are you guys still making RPM Dual? I ask because I don't see it anywhere here on TW but I still see plenty of sets of it at my tennis shop, and I just demoed a Pure Drive Tour that had it in the mains.

Seems to be a video on you tube - #RPM Blast Rough - showing red and yellow fluoro and a strung racquet; unfortunately I don't know French :(
