I don't have any info on the specs, but I think it supposed to come out around or just after the US Open. Maybe @Babolat Official can add some more info?Really? Nice.
Any info on the new PD?
Will there be a new Pure Drive coming out in 2018?
Thanks in advance.
Man, I hope Babolat doesn't fall for that foolishness.it will come sooner than 2018..
look for it around the timing of the US Open..
word on the street is it will be more dampened like CV and Touch frames..
Perhaps give it some enhanced feel
I would like to see the PD, or a version of it, in the 60-62 range.A ever so slightly less stiff layup would be cool. Around 67/68 rather than in the 70s.
That is true. But a person can dream, right?it would no longer be pure drive then
This will be interesting. I loved the 2012 version. I also loved the 2015 version.
How could they possibly improve on something that is great already? Since Babolat moved the sweetspot up in the current version compared to the GT version, maybe Babolat is working to widen the sweetspot to cover the entire racket face?
Well, one of the most frequent complaints with pure drives is that harshness on the arm due to stiffness of the frame. and they are trying very hard to take out all the bad vibration out so it will cause less arm problems. they can't make it more flexible because that will completely change the frame. stiffness of Pure drives is what gives it that massive power as well. so pretty much only way to make it more arm friendly is to try to dampen the frame more to take out all the bad vibration out of the frame.Man, I hope Babolat doesn't fall for that foolishness.
Ask Babolat to make it have SW of around 312 for pure drive and 317 for pure drive plus.New Pure Drive this year. Tour, plus, etc to follow in 2018.
Guessing that it's only compatible with Babolat racquets? And no more play version! New seperate Pulse 2 sensor with more functions and detachable like sony.
it is blue, black and white
Did you swing it around yet ?? Does it have LOW Swingweight ? like I asked them to make it as.
Foam-fill it.
Believe it or not, that may take all the feel out of the fame. I foam filled my PA+ with removable expanding foam and the feel was awful. Super muted. The Babolat's are legend because they have a huge sweetspot and you can still feel the ball so well off the strings. The cost for that is stiffness, but it's well worth the trade off, IMO.
You filled the entire hoop? Or just the handle?
No pics... I hit with it.
Yes, he is getting kind of old and losing eye sight. need bigger head for sureFognini is definitely using a 107

Will review after some more hours on court.

Image a 98" PD with big pop, power and control..
That will spark a new industry standard in everyone else trying to copy..
