Yes, but till then we will be celebrating, that's still a long time. Also, I'm classy, I will congratulate Nadal and his fans if that happens and won't feel bad.

Also OP are you even fooling anyone? We all know you are the biggest Fed worshipper out there.

If Nadal wins the rest of the Slams this year, he would have won each Slam at least twice and come to within one Slam count of Federer.

And Nadal is the kind of person who can do it.

Oh only If ifs and buts were candies and nuts..

Let’s see if Nadal is even able to PLAY the next slam. And what comes to Wimbledon, there are all kind of rosols, darcis’ and other lawn monsters waiting to feast on Ralph

Oh he'll be able to play the next slam. He's been injured during 1 RG (2016) since 2005. Coincidentally (or not) that also happens to be his best slam.

He could catch up. However, each slam twice? Which of Wimbledon, RG and the USO is being replaced by a second 2018 edition of the AO?

3 slams is also a very big if. What if Federer wins 2 slams this year and Nadal only one?

Indeed.

And don't forget, if you make a prediction thread for each slam and get them all wrong, you can win CYFT (Calendar Year Fail Thread). Do the same next year and you can get DCFT.

And you are the kind of person who can do it. Off to a good start anyway.

:p

Says the person who thought Federer should of retired in 2007, I mean it's been 10 years+ of you trolling on this forum. That says a lot more about your life and what kind of person you are!

Where are your excuse threads, sureshs?
You always have one for every slam Roger won. Roof, weather, MTO, line call, SABR, etc

@sureshs

You are the master.

Across all spheres of life, I have seldom seen someone with such an intuitive and natural grasp of enraging people without going OTT or being seen through (by most anyway). It really is marvelous.

Anybody concur?

@Sentinel ? @stringertom ?
Those of us who know the master are not enraged. We are having a chuckle. I would be bitterly disappointed if sureshs didn't come out with the usual silly thread.

Nadal or Federer winning any more slams would be terrible for tennis. It is enough, already. The field is completely destroyed. I am not sure how tennis is supposed to be gaining additional fans and additional viewership with the current situation. Women's tennis fantastic right now... men's tennis is absolutely terrible.

Men's tennis has become the equivalent of the Harlem Globetrotters vs. the Washington Generals.

Rafa wont surpass Federer now, no way. He is not winning 5 slams post age32.

Grats my friend. I agree most likely not (obviously). I think there is still small chance if Rafa can win RG again. Gap is back to 3 and Rafa could have 4 to 5 more years and Fed maybe 1 to 2. It's about 90 percent he won't catch Federer though.

You are mixing your conditionals

If he wins, he will have won
If he won, he would have won

You don't seem to understand the difference between reality and the hypothetical.

Your words might make perfect sense to you, but to everyone else.....

Yeah but Federer still plays the best most exciting game on the tour.

It’s either he wins more and solidifies the slam record, or we watch mindless brainless ball bashers Zverev vs Rublev etc who are too scared to come to the net or play with any variety win slams by default.

Thanks:). Its been a nice 12+ months for the Maestronians:). Too bad with all the injuries (Nole,Andy,Raonic,Nishi) but hope the field can heal soon. If Novak can't be 100% at FO i guess Rafa will win another one. Still, he is 32, and i think his slam winning days outside clay soon are over. In the history of tennis not many slams are won after 32y, and with Rafas playing style and injuries i just can't see him winning 5 more.
