The Most Powerful Picture In Tennis History

I can count on 1 hand the number of full tennis matches I've watched after they aired live. But even I watched 2018 Wimby semi again from start to finish and it was majestic. Djokovic is far less boring when he plays Nadal.

As Nole fan maybe a bit biased ,
But Nole's matches wid Fed Stan Rafa Delpo are never boring.
He plays each of them differently ..
Wid murray - yeah boring .

Murray / Djoko have quite a few great matches. You can't expect them to play well and entertain you in all their matches.

I find most of the Fedal matches quite boring in all honesty.

And the that 2012 AO final was the king of all boredom.

I miss Murray. At least he could damage Djokovic sometimes (Olympics 2012, USO 2012, WB 2013, ATP finals 2016).

That's right. Right now Nole has no true rival minus Rafa on clay so we need Andy back so that he can pose some new threats.

You may laugh collectively but I am hoping he'll back for one last hurrah. We can't die like this. Not gonna. Na huh.

I am fully satisfied with his achievements though. Couldn't have asked for more when I look and see Andy still struggling to win his first slam. We have all come a long way since then.

People connect with different players and feel strongly about different things so it's always going to be subjective. There are quite a few tennis related moments that make me emotional, but I'm gonna go with this picture

It captured an unusually calm, intimate moment for such a big occasion. With most other significant photos I feel happy, or proud, or sad for a player/players, I emphasize with how they feel. This one, Nadal's quiet reverence for his achievement makes me feel inspired to work harder to achieve my own dreams. Holding a dream in your hands, how does that feel?

Miss murray ..
But TTW members were toxic during those times.
He was the most un appreciated on this forum by Roddick Hewitt fans and experts ..
There was a time when complimenting murray was a sin here at TTW .

You are a little hung up on the age or the generation gap nonsense stuff. Or perhaps you are too young, don't have a job yet and have all the time in the world to watch a 6-hour long match etc.

And I am not a Fed fan and given that I like both Nole and Rafa, it would be unlikely for me to say anything negative about them or their matches. That's not the point here. I just don't care for matches that run for 6 hours. Just as much I didn't care for the Isner/Mahut match. It's that simple. It could have been Murray too and I'd have said the same. I get especially irritated when WTA matches go on forever. Not that I like fast and quick, I just like a good balance.

But it was just one match so I can cut some slack. The general notion was, I don't like very long matches. They bore me.
