No, Djokodal fans are way worse in this regard. Because as I said they derive their pleasure from glory but Fed fans derive their pleasure from glory but also from Fed's style. Fed fans love to see Fed in 2nd round of Dubai and watch highlights and be happy, but Djokodal fans are 100% in it for titles and can only be happy if their guy wins a major. Anything less and they can't enjoy it. Just listen to how they talk and how they leave when their guys aren't winning majors. But Fed fans we are here and cocky even when Fed 1st round of a 500 tournament and admire his shotmaking.

Yes, I mean sure we care about the record too, but not as obsessed as them, they have some inferiority complex. We can say ok at least we get to see Fed's great funny interviews and shots even when he loses and his quirky family. But slam wins is all the Djokodal fans have. Not to mention we also derive pleasure from watching older greats similar to Fed's style, they think 2008 is where tennis history started.
And even when they will get the record they wont be happy, because they are in it for the wrong reason and it doesn't fulfil you. Plus they argue all the time how slam count doesn't matter due to weak era which can also be applied to Djokodal too, so they are devaluing even their slam count if somehow those guys get the record, so they will never be happy.
But we started to love Fed based on his personality and style, we were there before he was winning. And even now that he is losing a lot, they don't get how we can still be behind Fed and still loving it. Also, it shows how they think how the press is biased and how Fed is overhyped because of our bias. They don't get it that we loved Fed before he was famous, he is hyped because we liked him before and not because of some press influence today.

Whoa, stop, this isn't true. I am saying that as I am one of them. In fact I am the longest lasting Djokovic fan here, before even his 2011 run, and it was never about the titles or the glory of winning the slams. Some of us just like watching someone other than Federer a little bit more, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Yeah I don't think it's so much about feeling threatened as it is that some folks (some Nadal and Djok fans) have been dunking on Fed this year and saying he's finished etc and now they're having to go on the defensive.
Who knows what would happen if Fed and Djok actually played right now. I'd still favour Djokovic to win

Fed played at very high level in 2 Wimbledon few years back and still lost to Djokovic so I'm not worried. Yes, some fans may like to troll other fan base when a particular player is not doing well , this is also a part of rivalry .I personally don't mind anyone announcing decline of Djokovic after Miami. Ok,but if you are you are closeted, you post too little praise an awe about Nole's game in public here for me to think of you as a real fan. True fan goes out there and praises Nole's attributes and analyses them in details and praises how his opponents exploited his weakness and go into details what Nole could change or not and learn and talk about history of the sport and how Nole is seen in context and so on.
If you are right, why don't I see most Djokodal fans here never talking about this, it's mostly just about stats and nothing else. The irony is that even most Fed fans do this for Nole, sure we talk about stats too, but we talk alot about tons of other things and we joke and criticize our hero a lot too.
It's not what Djokodal fans post, it's what I don't see posted. Plus they could have a little more knowledge about their own guy, it seems they know more about Federer than they do about Djokovic.
When someone young beats Fed we posts tons of threads, Dimitrov goat, I never see that from Djokovic fans when someone beats him. Of course there are some exceptions, not all of fans are like that, but the trends are there.

For recognizing how trends are going? You are basing your views based on your own personal experience, I don't do that. You probably see 10 radical Fed fans and conclude all fanbase is like that. But when I see 10 radical Djokodal fans, I know that just a few members don't speak for the group, I'm not that emotional, I'm not basing my views on personal experience at all. It's about recognizing numbers of polls and on what % of topics Djokodal fans are focusing on, it's basically based on stats and math. And the fact you disagree with me proves this fact.
Let's say I say men are stronger than women. But then 30 of your best friends are female MMA fighters. You will then say, hey Jack you are crazy all I see in the real world are women owning men, so Jack you are wrong and radical to say that.
That's why you will take the wrong conclusion. I have a rare gift of seeing the world like it's math and I shut my negative emotions easily. Of course I also have negative emotions if you put some stats that make Federer look bed, but I just ignore them and agree that using some stats Federer has holes in his legacy. It's not just what Djokodal fans say, it's also what they don't say.

You seriously have not been reading my posts over the years, the difference is, I don't need to crap on other players to prop up Djokovic. I have done plenty of pre match analysis - AO 2019 final, USO 2018 final, Wimbledon 2018 semi and final just in the past year. Praising his game. And for when he lost? Go look at RG 2013 semi with Nadal, or when Federer beat him in Shanghai in 2014, or Cincy 2015 just off of the top of my head, for how his opponent exploited his game and was simply better than him. So please stop with this Us and Them mentality, everyone is different.
