Felix is dealing with an injury which is why he lost the second set. But even injured, its tough to lose a set to Stevie Johnson

Serving out the match proves too much for Félix the first time. Maybe another break to avoid a pressure cooker game at 5-4, non?

I don't know why Fritz is playing pro tennis. He's useless and boring. But he has a nice-looking wife, that's the only positive thing about him.

Should he get another job like Steve Johnson lol
He's just 21 and made over 2 million in prize money

SJ got a degree so he’s better prepaired for that second career. Not that Fritz will have a worry...that May department store family money will get him and the family through the rainy days.

The incompaireable Benoit lost just one 1st serve point in the 4&2 win.

Will be looking to capture a paire of titles in the same year for the first time tomorrow.

Anyone know why Amazon 'friggin' Prime isn't showing anything live (only showing replays from previous days)??

Paire v Fe final! Crazy fun guy v Next Great Hope.

Guess this makes Felix the youngest multiple finalist since... Rafa?

I believe so; Joe Kovic had three finals and two titles just slightly after turning 19. Nadal’s final in Auckland and title in Sopoty in ‘04 sandwiched his 18th birthday.

Add-on: Muzziah in ‘05 had one final at age 18 (Bangkok) and then a title (San Jose) and a final (Washington) in ‘06, with San Jose as a 18er.

@Mainad may now be happy.

Felix is making his maiden ATP final at the age of 18 years, 9 months and 17 days. Murray was 18 years, 5 months and 13 days when he made his 1st ATP final (2005 Bangkok). He was 18 years, 9 months less 2 days when he won his 1st title ( 2006 San José).

This is not Félix’s first final...recalculate to the Rio final, roughly three months ago.

Oops, ok. At the Rio final Felix was 18 years, 6 months and 16 days so still a little older than Murray was in his maiden final.
And 19 days older for his second final, which hopefully will follow the Muzziah’s successful conversion into a title.

Shapo and Fritz largely beat themselves but FAA should make it quite interesting. I just hope our favourite monsieur can win but stay true to himself and Benoir. I'd love to see another Paire-Fed match - what a lovely paire-ing of dropshot doyens that would be. I'm not sure who I have ahead in that department but it's close.

LOL...Moutet is a tiny little twit, not even the best 20-year-old lefty Frenchman. Watch Humbert and you’ll change your mind. Sadly, French tennis is lagging if either of these two are their best hope. Italy has the inside lane for now and they have a better plan for their youngsters.

Moutet booting Dimitrov from Wimby after coming through qualies. Moutet has the heart of a lion and a game to match.

Was wondering why a clay tournament thread got a bump but then I saw your post and remembered your agenda.

Nice to see Moutet gutted out three qualifying matches and kept Dimitrough’s futility trend steady. However, results today show Moutet to be the second most successful young lefty Frenchman once again.

Have a lovely day of remorse for pinning your hopes on the little twerp.

I've only seen her play twice now but I've just become a big fan of Grauff.
Probably the biggest reason is her choice of shoe, same as mine (New Balance). :)
