Im coming from using heavier 12+ oz racquets and am looking for something easier to play with. I really liked these extremes because of the higher swingweight but lower static weight. Just concerned that the MP might be a little too light for me, despite the higher swingweight. Ive demoed the Pro extensively but have not tried the MP
definitely looks better, IMOSome blackouts of the G360 EXTREME, what you guys think? Not mine b.t.w

after playing with it over the weekend, my initial impression is that its a pure aero w a head speed grip. its also entirely arm-friendly thus far, strung up with a full bed of poly at 55. ive been using the ultra tour for months and this thing was like pressing the “easy” button.
the color is a bit bright for me and i dont like the head shape at all. results speak for themselves though, and this frame works
man im not sure what to tell you ... i love the control and feel of the UT. but the extreme is much more forgiving, especially on off-center hits. what level do you play?Hi mate, coming from the UT too, last Friday I had to train with my coach's Extreme Touch as I broke my UT strings early in the session... I was blown away by how this thing made tennis easy. I was left asking myself, is this real life?
I'll be borrowing a rad touch mp as I'm too scared to go that deep into the power frame spectrum but I'm wondering if I should go BD into the 360extmp? You've hit with both the rad mp and the extreme and also the UT, would it be too drastic a change?
My racket convictions have been rocked, I'm scared...

hmmm, i wish i could answer your question but i think youre just gonna have to try it out and see. i didnt like the rad mp touch bc it was so muted. felt like i had no control. id spend some more time w the extreme if you can and see if it sticks. you can always go back to the UT, its a very predictable frameNot sure, live in Spain... 4-4.5 maybe? Just had a kid so not playing 6 times a week anymore... that's why i was looking for something easier to use plus I think the 18x20 is contributing to wrecking my hand. What about the radical touch mp? Much more power than the UT? I read somewhere its purestrikesque but muted...

It will be a huge difference from UT to extreme, but it will be easier tennis, more power, spin, e.t.c. Keep the UT just in case and just string at lower tensions and with soft polys / hybrids....

there are a couple of us who loved the original graphene rad MP. i used it for a long time but stopped due to arm issues. and because i had to bleach my eyeballs every time i saw the paintI figured as much, didn't pull the trigger on the Extreme360 even though I could get them cheap. My usual set up in the UT is with lead at 3, 9 and 12 and a natural gut hybrid at 51/49. I sometimes struggle with the power and it doesn't help that its all clay game here, that's why I was looking for a bit more power.
I got the RadTouchMP and it feels very good, for me the more muted the better really as I got wrist issues, need ulnar shortening, just a 2mm shave off the tip as its impacting my wrist bone but still not keen on it. The power and spin are there, will probably add some lead at 3&9 and some inside the handle. I also need to string it with my usual setup as it came with Hawk @ 24. It does feel purestrikesque from what I can remember, shame no love for this frame around here. I'm not getting rid of my Ultras though.
I'm also testing a vcore95 which also feels muted but found it unstable even with some lead at 3&9, as usual peeps like to abuse the one hander and on that wing without stability its hard to put it back deep. Its a nice frame for serving though.
Ohhh baby! Just had my second hit with the 360 Extreme Pro. So much fun! It might be my favorite power tweener. IMO it blows the Pure Drive, Pure Aero, etc out of the water. It swings so easily for its SW. It doesn't feel overly stiff, but it has immense power. The spin is massive and TIGHT. Not like the Pure Aero (wild spin). It swings quickly like a Speed. Serves are so effortless for power and pace.
I'm testing out a couple of Head frames, the 360 Radical Pro and the 360 Extreme MP (wanted to try the Pro, but they didn't have a demo version).
I also tested out the Clash 100 and Pure Aero a few days ago. I normally play with VCore 95 (coming from the VCore 98 and VCore Pro 97).
I was amazed of how easy to play the 360 Extreme MP is. To me, it's a better choice than the Clash, as they both offer easy depth and arm-friendliness, but the Head let's me play much more aggressive tennis. But there are a few downsides for my game:
- even though the SW is in my wheelhouse 325-330sh, and the racket is very manoeuvrable esp considering the SW, I felt it was too light at times, when you just "exchange" balls with the opponent in a match. The shots then often become weak and tentative. It's great when I step on the gas, and move well into the ball, but on easier, energy conservative shots, it didn't work/feel like the 360 Radical Pro.
- on backhands, I often ended up "slapping" the ball. On the 360 Radical Pro, the VCores, the PA, the energy transfer is much more efficient. Seems to be a weight-and-feel issue.
- on serves, it also felt a bit light. I served much, much better with the 360 Radical Pro.
I really enjoyed the 360 Radical Pro in all aspects of the game, but it doesn't bring the same easy depth as the 360 Extreme MP, and the main reason I'm considering leaving my VCore 95s in the bag and getting a new stick, is to be more competitive in matches, and I'm looking for easy depth, but I need my serve and backhand to work properly.
For those of you who have tried the Pro version, how does it handle when it comes to these things? If you've tried the MP versions as well, and can compare, that'd be even betterer.
yeah this is a really good frame. im kinda surprised honestly

How about the Rad360MP and add weight? Thats what I'm doing to the RadTouchMP and its working good, so far I added 6 grams under the cap and play with 2 over grips. Will attempt to add 4g at 2&9 and counter balance that under the cap. Compared to my Ultra Tour I'm definitely getting easier depth and having to work less for that.
I caved in and bought the Pro version, untested (as it wasn't available for demo), and got my first hit with it today for a couple of hours.
It's factory strung with a yellow Head poly (lynx).
First impression:
It's much, much more solid than the MP. I'm accustomed to 310g rackets - and heavier ones - but the two 310g Heads I've recently tried (360 Rad Pro as well), have felt much heavier than that. They've felt almost DG 97 330g / RGF97A-heavy. And with the added weight and SW, I'm feeling the stiffness of the frame. In the MP nothing at all, I'd even go so far as to describe it as muted-plush, but the Pro is muted-stiff. Not Pure Drive tinny-stiff, but def has the potential of wrecking my shoulder (not since the RF97A days), elbow or wrist with the wrong string and tension.
Positives:
The static weight and SW helps me deliver a heavier ball on groundstrokes. The backhand is much better as a result of the weight/sw; with the lighter MP I ended up slapping the ball as I had to up the RHS to produce depth and pace. Slices, volleys and serves are nice as well, but nothing spectacular.
Negatives:
The frame is a bit sluggish, esp. when my movement/footwork is on the slow side. If I can really accelerate through the ball I get rewarded, if not, the ball ends up dead in the water on the other side. The stiffness might be a long term issue, even with a softer poly.
These play solid at lighter weights, but as you say you like 310gr frames. Test it with your own strings, If you use 17g or less that will bring down the SW a bit too. Measure the specs if you get a chance and mod ( I know you don't wan't to) to match your specs you like. Mine is 61ra and with a bit of silicone and other mods plays plush !
I was thinking of trying out a 1.20 string I know to see how it works out. I'm playing again tomorrow, and I'll try to sharpen my footwork
Finally spent more time with the frame with all mods. Ran out of tungsten TW tape, so ended up with lead covered with black vinyl, could also get the matching black grommets to tone it down if needed, but it's getting looks this way in it's eye blinding paint ;-)
322gr, 325sw, approx 4 points HL - all dressed up, 3gr roughly at 3/9 o'clock, 6 grams total there, 2 grams at 12 and 2 at throat. Silicone in handle, lead at 7" mark, MGR/1 20.72
Max power mains / Hdx tour crosses 52/50
As mentioned above for an open pattern the control and accuracy is amazing, the serves are like thunder!
Might add more to tail, we will see!
The handle looks massive, surprised you didn't extend it like some of your others, or did you? ! ;-)

Ok, so I tried it again yesterday for a couple of hours, with a set at the end - and this time around, the planets almost aligned.
My footwork and movement was better, better unit turn and solid contact in front (shoulder behind elbow, elbow behind wrist). This resulted in great baseline shots. I alternated a few 7 and 10 pts with my VCore 95s (3g at 12), and I finally got the backhand up to comparable speed. The 360 Extreme Pro excels on clay. I was pleasantly surprised of how well I play with the VCore 95s, esp. after trying out quite a few rackets lately, but the Extreme Pro generates to much spin paired with a higher ball flight, making it very hard to defend against on clay.
My guess - and hope - is that bringing the tension down to my preferred range of 46 lbs will soften the stringbed to my liking. The racket came strung with a Head poly and afaik, they string them up in the mid 50s. Ime, the big hitters with high RHS prefer tighter tensions, as the force they exert on the ball makes the stringbed "cave" in. My RHS is middle-of-the-road, so I enjoy a bit of mass to get the ball moving (as reducing weight does not increase my RHS noticeably). That being said, some strings, string spacing, string tension/setup and frames don't pair well, whilst others do. In a Pure Drive, (almost) everything feels a bit uncomfortable, whilst in a Pure Aero I've played with 15 and 16 gauge RPM Blast, in the high 50s without any discomfort.
I think one the reasons I like this frame, is the 21 mm width at the handle. This gives me the feel of a player's racket, when I hold the frame in the throat area. Another frame that does this same trick, is the Ezone 98 (thin at the neck, thick at the hoop).
