This racquet is apparently a classic, a lot of pros, like Del Potro, using the pro stock version of this too!

I haven't had a chance to try it out

Tennis Warehouse doesn't have demos for this racquet or I most definitely would

Will you cop this classic?

For those who have used it, how does this compare to newer 2019 racquets?

but to answer your question, absolutely not. it was easily the worst wilson 6.1 95 ever released. i had the 2017 reissues and it's a hard racket to use, even compared to the 16x18 model

Del Po uses the Hyper PS 6.1 95 mold under the current PS pj. Most players that have the glossy current PS pj (Edmund) are using either the Six One 95 18x20 or 16x18.

It was fine. I think the k90 was more popular, the NCode 6.1 95 was a better racket. That may have been a smarter re-release... oh well.

I cannot play with any of them anymore anyway haha

The original K95's were basically sledge hammers.

For what ever reason that frame is tough on the arm. The Reissue 2017 6.1 95 18x20 is a better choice if you can find one or just buy a Blade and weight it the way you want it.

If they had released it in a 16X18 then yes but the 18X20 no.

The 16x18 was one of my favorite racquets. 18x20 didn’t feel good to me. Keep in mind this was 10+ years ago so hard to remember the specific differences

I think first and foremost we should be GRATEFUL that Tennis Warehouse releases any of the callbacks. I sincerely enjoy it and maybe we will see more from HEAD or Dunlop too

Big difference between the feel of a 6.1 and Blade, but I agree about the 2017 reissue. The 2017 6.1 was extremely solid and far more comfortable than the K6.1.

To be fair, Dunlop gave us the MW200G and HM300G. Never tried the 300G reissue but the 200G was a nice frame.

HEAD “retroed” the Agassi Bumblebee (twice), but in cosmetic only sadly.

Now that I think about it, Prince brought back the Speedport Black. Nice to see everyone bringing back classics. Yonex would do well to give us a new Ti-80.

I would have liked to buy one, in grip size 4. So I could use just two overgrips (no leather), and have a lighter grip/more HH/overall lighter Classic 95 18x20. But TW does not ship it to Europe, and I can not seem to find it elsewhere.

Don’t feel bad it works the other way here in the states . I find all my best frames come from Europe , sadly

I'm using 2017's now (and love them) but would like a few more frames. I played with K95's back in the day and liked them, they could hit a mean ball.

What really appeals to me about all 6.1 95's is how controllable they are but there's huge power in reserve when you want or need to just crush the crap out of the ball. Nothing else I've tried has that ability.

@megamind - to answer your question, NO. I didn't care for the 18 X 20 pattern 6.1 at all.

Wilson did this once before, after the Roller fiasco. They "re-released" 3 or 4 racket lines - Hyper 5.0 etc. I wonder if they aren't moving stock and resorting to the tried and true tactic again.

Well lots of pros care for the 18x20 6.1. And I am pretty sure current models are outnumbering these reissues

I really enjoyed these back 10-11 years ago, when my sparring partner was using the K-Blade tour. He still has one if each and we occasionally take them out for a hit. Love the feel, but I’m more at home around 345-8g string with OG and dampener these days
