Nonsense. Let's see a reference or research abstract. Most recent data show a miniscule, essentially zero, chance of it colliding with Earth half a century from now but not enough of a chance that anyone should be concerned.

i would wish for 1000 more wishes. take advantage of that stupid shooting star. would have to keep tabs on all my wishes in an excel spreadsheet to make sure that shooting star granted each and every one of my wishes

No matter how hard someone tries, or how perfect they think they have set up a potential alien abduction, it all comes down to situation abductions. As an alien myself, it is clear when someone is trying to be abducted. They are always the worst abductees too.

Maybe the first of your thousand wishes should be that the shooting star grants your other 999 wishes without your having to track them.
Your second wish should be that google does not spam you with ads based on your next 998 wishes.

They are just pieces of rock burning up very fast. How they can grant a wish is beyond me.
You should make a wish while driving under a bridge that has a train running on it.

My favorite night sky events have been seeing the Northern Lights in Norway and Sweden. It is not as colorful to the naked eye.
