Does Federer need to go 100 sq in?

Am I the only one who thinks Fed should go up to 100 square inch racquet head?

I think he could run a few more years if he increases the headsize once more.

No. It took him 16 months to adjust to the new racket in 2013-14. He even said last year he didn't feel 100% comfortable with the new frame until the summer of 2015. So if Fed switches rackets again, he'll be almost 40 before he's comfy with it. Not gonna happen.

I also recall a presser last year where he was asked and he definitively shut the door on it, saying he wouldn't be looking into a change at this stage in his career.

What? I could tell the difference between 95 and 98 blindfolded. How in the world is it possible that there is no difference between 97 and 100?
Law of diminishing returns. I'm technically not using that right, but at some point a bigger headsize makes no difference. I can tell the difference between my 95 Prince Rebel vs my 97 Prince Response while I'm blackout drunk. My 97 vs my 100 Babolat Aero Pro though has an equal amount of forgiveness. 3 more sq inches isn't going to change anything for Ol' Rog.

Isn't the 100 giving you more power? Like you might hit the fence more often than with the 97?

Thought the launch angle off the RF97A robbed Federer of penetration today against Tsitsipas

Looked like Becker strokes on grass, heavy spin waiting for a chance to go big. Tsitsipas just mashed everything

Tsitsipas and Thiem hitting much bigger

I would stay well clear of a 100
