Australia plays Brazil in Adelaide. de Minaur is out. Kyrgios is out.

Anyone who saw the ATP Cup knows Millman will be tough. Jordan Thompson will probably get his chance, but Bolt and Duckworth have been in form.

Doubles is the problem. Soares and Melo are world class. John Peers just about picks himself, but Purcell and Saville were runners up at the AO this year. Note I've seen no mention of the last two being in consideration.

Anyone from Brazil?

Yep, representing the USA will be Fritz, Opelka, Paul, and the Bryan brothers for doubles against Uzbekistan. Should be easy enough, with worst case scenario losing a single rubber.

Another interesting story line will be Kei Nishikori returning to tennis for the Davis Cup and Team Japan. Glad to see he'll be back in time for the Sunshine Double. I don't think he's played since the US Open last year.

FYI, TC doesn’t have the rights to show the US tie. Just thought I’d mention that before posters start starting threads blasting TC for not showing it.

the bright side of it is that it will make these 6 ties more competitive while only Belgium lost its position as the favorite now.

overall it still looks like most of the 12 ties will be lopsided affairs.
only Hungary vs Belgium might get close. (well, Slovakia Czechia too, but who cares.)

I see that ballkids aren't allowed to handle the towels in this match. I don't think players should have access to them until change of ends but Corona virus is taking things in the right direction.

Yep, Seyboth Wild just gone up a break in the second.

Whatever the reason, I'm glad something has been done about ball kids and towels.

Funny, if you really want to watch Australia v Brazil, I think I've worked out how.

Download an app called 9Now (if it's not geoblocked). It's the streaming service for the local broadcaster that has the rights. You should be able to stream it with that.

Sorry I didn't think of that yesterday :rolleyes:

Is this a Joke ??? USA match is Geoblocked in USA...……………………..LOL.. I can't watch it. and Tennis channel isn't carrying it... either...………. are they Geoblocked as well ?? Is this all Revenge against USA for not taking davis cup seriously ?????????????? or I called for firing of ITF head that changed the Davis cup format ??????

Watching the doubles now and some interesting commentary from Todd Woodbridge. He basically said James Duckworth can't volley because he uses a Babolat racquet and it has no control or feel.

Hewitt did sub in for doubles a few years ago and people were very critical of him for doing so.

Luke Saville and Max Purcell were runners up at this year's AO, not sure why one of them wasn't considered, or Chris Guccione who played really well at the ATP Cup.

Duckworth is a nice guy and has shown great singles form recently, but neither of those are reasons to select him for doubles.

that first-round loss at the IW Challenger apparently was his first match of the season, so it seems he was injured again.
no idea if it's still the foot.
