it was nice playing with everyone. ckuo was a great partner and very easy going. shcmad was the asian version of marat safin [i swear his strokes and serves mimic that of safins]. mr han was solid as always and still heavily kicking those 2nd serves. zapvor was a very nice guy who was easy going and fun to be around and he underestimates his talents. and koreanhb was solid even though he said that he wasnt good. [good try koreanhb]

when shall we meet again... next week perhaps? we should do wakefield this time. it might be a lot more fun, considering the last time me and han were there we got blamed for spilling juice and we got to listen to the biggest trash talker in northern va. lol

Hey man, you were playing solid tennis with that woodie so I had to snap a couple pics of that moment. I think you could even win a few matches with it. You really have a smooth-looking game so the wood racquet suited you well. I played with a woodie a week ago for the first time, and I loved it.

Haha I really appreciate your compliment. Thinking about it makes me wonder... are you saying I'm a headcase?

I think we should try to meet next week. KoreanHB is leaving for vacation after that, so next week should be a good time. And, my vote goes for Wakefield Park as well. At least we'll have a good chance to witness the biggest trash-talking guy in the form of a sucky tennis player.

pancho gonazles was definitely tearing it up with his woodie. as you can see in the pics, i was standing off court so not to get embrassed. so since HB is leaving next week, we are going to try to have another meeting this week. hopefully this time it will not rain, and NOT be windy. wakefield park is also fine with me. I will send an email out to vote for the day. stay tuned!

the courts dont look as good as yours. it would be better with clay courts lol.

zapvor let me use the racquet.... felt pretty good, but it felt like it was going to break everytime i hit.

^^ haha. Yeah, that is because the wood racquets are very flexy. Have you ever hit with a Max 200g?? >> Kind of similar.

By the way, did you have many shanked balls? Were you able to hit with topsin, etc??

that was actually the 2nd time i have hit with a wooden racquet... and i have to say it was pretty good.

as i can remember i had a few shanked balls but not a lot.... i am pretty good at hitting the center of the racquet [i hope lol] and yea i got some pretty good topspin on the ball, obviously not as much as the ncode 6.1 but it was pretty decent.

3rd Meeting!

Guys, I would definitely recommend calling and reserving a court ahead of time! Sometimes some courts are taken up with clinics and such, and I haven't played there yet when there hasn't been people waiting to get on. It is super cheap, and you get to kick people off of your court!

I'm considering Sunday, but I'll already be out there Saturday morning practicing with one of my teams, and I have a match on Sunday and possibly a cook-out.

Update

interesting day today....anyways a update:

So thus far the overwhelming majority of the votes have gone to Wakefield Park. for those who dont know, it is at
8100 Braddock Road
(i have never been there myself). so the location is pretty much settled, unless the rest of votes all turn in against it. (which i doubt)

as for the day, it is uncertain yet. right now there is a tie between sunday and saturday, so please vote on day! some of you emailed me voting for location(thank you) but didnt vote for day. if we assume these emails mean no preference, then sunday is the winner.

side note: i want to thank those of you who emailed me with your comments/concerns. because of your input we can make this chapter even better for all.

sounds like you need to show up sunday and show us how it all works, since you are the expert. we can warm you up for your match.

3rd meeting update

as of now the day has been changed to saturday, so thank you for voting! i forgot to ask for a time vote, and thanks to Shcmad our chapter weather man who brought it to my attention, there is supposed to be rain later in the day, so instead of 1pm we will meet at 11AM again. and the location this time is Wakefield Park. thank you.
