Pure Aero VS 2021

more hollow feeling
less stability
less power
less spin
less soul

not sure what they were trying to do with this one.
if you're going to give us an aero with more control, for an advanced player, why not also focus on stability?

wow ... I read great reviews and ordered 3 of them without a demo.
Now these reviews are totally contrary. What level of players are you guys? 4.5 and above ?

They're absolutely fine. Not as tweenery as the PA, which doesn't suit most players' games, and not endorsed by the right pro to lather up the gullible.

Needs a little lead to stabilize it, but needs it to get it up to a playable weight, anyway. You'll get along fine as long as you're north of 4.0.

It's a great Babolat feeling frame: basically a dialed in Pure Aero. If coming from something heaver or flexier, it needs weight. I added a leather grip and some weight to the head.

I think it's best in hands of 4.5+and the TW review was spot on.

Solid 4.5 player here. I switched this past winter to a vcore Pro 97HD from a PA Tour. Several iterations of the PA tour had been my stick for awhile. Main hitting partner got two Pure Aero VS sticks right when they were released and I hit with them quite a bit in early pandemic times. They are ok, but after several sessions I couldn't identify a single reason why I would use a VS over my PA Tour.

Anyone get this new stick for control after using Pure Aero banana yellow?
I am very surprised to read that PAVS has less stability etc than the PA
I currently use the PAT and in my opinion, the PAVS surpasses it on all plans
Better accuracy is the main advantage of the PAVS, better maneuverability too
Better at net
Power is about the same, spin maybe a little less
Feeling is much better, softer, not as hollow
Tested with Luxilon 4G it was a fantastic frame, the best in my 2020 tests !
Level 5.5

I really liked them, nice spin, maneuverable, forgiving, and not hollow as other babolats. It is a bit hard to control if you are a used to a more control oriented racquet.

Hello, my first PAVS arrives tomorrow. Given how pricey they are I want to pre-empt any elbow issues with a decent string set up and willing to pay a bit more to ensure it.

Does VS touch gut + ALU rough sound safe?

This frame need full (stiff) poly setup to give the best out of it... It's a frame for solid arm and game. Sorry! :)

Okay just tried natural gut and ALU rough on my PAVS. It’s my first time using any form of pure aero and the launch angle was insane. My top spins we flying off like lobs. Likely due to the tension loss from my stringer.
On the flipside though most of the shots dropped in right on the baseline at the opponent’s toes so it was making my groundstrokes hard to return. A few shots launched way out tough, trampoline style. Not sure if this is a typical experience for first time Aero users though? Might have to try again with higher tension

yeah u didnt say tension... what was it?

Okay, just played with it again and am now in love. Adjusted to the launch angle and everything is working really well for me now. Biggest serves I’ve ever hit and with high precision.

OHBH best I’ve seen as well and ofc top spin is great. Only slight regression compared to my Speed MP and Pure Strike 16x19 was my flat, put-away forehand was maybe 10% fast.
