?? I’m just a casual fan. I have no clue. That’s not my job

Ideally, get a time machine and do the Simmons-Harden deal. Or swing the trade for Lowry

Now, unload Simmons and Harris and rebuild around Embiid
I think a Simmons for Lowry trade is possible now as Lowry is from PA and wants to retire there. But does Toronto want a player who prefers passing to dunking the ball?

That trade might actually work.

Simmons value really low right now… but in better environment he could flourish. Lowry much older and over the hill. If I’m Toronto and need to re-tool, I make that trade. Philly makes the trade too because they are in win-now mode while they still have Embiid in his physical prime. Win-win for both teams.

Something about the 2021 playoff Suns reminds me of the 2004 playoff Pistons.

No superstars, but their best players and role players play unselfishly and mesh together to come up huge under pressure.

I also have to wonder if somehow not being in the playoffs last year, in a year when there was no off-season, is giving the Suns an advantage over the field?

Did they focus as a team on physical conditioning during the time that other teams were beating up on themselves in the bubble?

Wonder if Chris Paul will play in Game 3? Or under the radar, just send Uncle Cliff

Shaping up to be a golden opportunity on a platter for CP3. LeBron hobbled and no AD in round 1. No Murray and Grant departed to give easy round 2. And Load Management backfires plus usual Clipper chokes in round 3. Then in finals, he will likely face team with 6-man rotation (Bud finally realizing he should shorten rotation in playoffs, but Bud will be Bud).

At this point in his career, he’s just their third most important player. But assuming they make the finals, he can spread his veteran clutchness to his younger teammates to push them to the finish line.

Every. Single. Game.

Appears to be epic.

This might just be the best NBA playoffs I've seen. I just hope this continues; that the Clips can hold serve at home, and that the Hawks can keep taking it to the Bucks.

Trae absolutely kills me when he falls in love with his 100-foot 3-point attempts which he just hoists up and arm throws, but he also just makes so many plays and has outstanding vision and command of the floor. I think he's considerably better than I gave him credit for. Despite not always being an efficient scorer, he offers a tremendous offensive package and seems genuinely talismanic. He's the Pied Piper of the Hawks and has some serious intangibles. Hoping he keeps this up.

Capela, discarded for pennies on the dollar by the 3-happy Rockets last year, shows his value, collects 19 boards (not a fluke when he led the league in rebounds), playing a huge role in getting his team really deep into playoffs.

'Sheed was no superstar back then [king of technicals too]? Not LeBron or MJ kind of superstar, but . . .

‘sheed wasn’t even one of the 3 best players on his own team.

Prince was an elite defensive wing, Ben was a dominant Board-and-D big, Chauncy was their floor leader, and Rip was their closer. None of those 5 guys would be considered superstars, but those 5 guys meshed together perfectly.

Thanks for the refresher, yup, Billups was the floor manager and Big Ben was dominant. Somehow, I thought 'Sheed was a reluctant superstar [am I right?], a great low post defender and had a near unstoppable post offense [sometimes a bit too reliant on treys but gets it done].

Or maybe, that was the Portland-days Wallace I was thinking about?

Simmons, 24, has four years and $147 million left on his contract.
Simmons' free throw shooting dropped to 34.2% in the playoffs.
End of trade talks. lol

Aight not a great game tonight with a predictable blowout well under way. Bucks are giving the Hawks a shellacking, but I'm still entertained.

When a team scores 22 points off of 13 turnovers, they are going to win. That's just for the FIRST HALF. Converting for nearly two points per turnover is a ridiculous yield.

It's not the mocking, I like humor, rather his sneaky attempt to injure another player who makes money from the same profession.
Need to investigate further. At least how other players feel about his style of defense. Lord knows this was common for the Pistons. A headache for their opponents

I actually think Beverley has a point… if you watch it closely, Paul kicks his leg straight up in the air deliberately to exaggerate the somersault effect, when the natural reaction (if he weren’t pre-conditioned to flop) would have been to move his leg toward the ground to avoid somersaulting backward.

I don't care how Paul jumped, that left leg doesn't move in a natural way. I am 100% sure. What a garbage personality.

I love the blatant moving screen by Ayton that causes the contact between Beverly and CPFlop. NBA needs to start calling that crap. Moving screens let ball handlers create contact much more easily and the defense gets punished with fouls because of it. Call the damn offensive foul it’s not that hard.

Giannis and Kawhi both out. When's the last time we had a finals without a superstar?

I thought the Bud gang would get to the finals before the new 6-man-rotation-without-physical-prep experiment finally caught up to them. It looks like they won’t even last that long.
