If Med wins Cinci and USO and Djokovic loses before the QF in New York, Med is #1. For YE#1 is going to be tougher for him bc he will lose 1000 points from Shanghai, is defending Paris and some others small tournaments. Is it still possible for Medvedev to get #1? Like say he makes the US open final and loses to Djokovic, can he still then? I've not been keeping track but i'm almost hoping he does in that specific scenario just to s*** all over how the rankings work.
If Meddle loses 1K points from Shanghai then Joe Kovic would also lose his QF points that week AND his 500 points from Tokyo’19, effectively just a -320 effect on Meddle’s deficit? If Med wins Cinci and USO and Djokovic loses before the QF in New York, Med is #1. For YE#1 is going to be tougher for him bc he will lose 1000 points from Shanghai, is defending Paris and some others small tournaments.
As you can see, both #1 and YE#1 looks unlikely for Med

Always has been. Pamphlets have been halted at the press.I can't believe Sinner was propaganda.
The gullible give up on a kid at 20 with every little stumble. I wasn’t here (was anybody?) before 2003 when someone who turned out to be pretty proficient had his share of defeats mixed with advances. I’m sure it would have been a forum full of shortsighted and bitter trolls with nothing better to do than cry, “Foul!”I can't believe Sinner was propaganda.
I grant you that. I haven't seen much of Sinner yet but are implying that he might be as big as Fed some day?The gullible give up on a kid at 20 with every little stumble. Why is your thinking all or nothing? He doesn't have to be as big as Federer someday to have a great career - after all, only Nadal and Djokovic are as big as Federer. Maybe Sinner will be as big as Ivan Lendl or Stefan Edberg, and have a substantial career - or perhaps not. Let it all unfold!I grant you that. You should commit one way or the other.

Yes, but the hype train is why people like me roll their eyes. Saying a guy has potential and is on a good path is one thing. Why is your thinking all or nothing? I agree that a Lendl/Edberg type career would be nothing to scoff at.Why is your thinking all or nothing? Any day Tennis Channel wants to go out to the Korda match. Enough of the studio babble please.
No, he has a lot more to go through before even mentioning a 1x slam winner in comparison, let alone a 20x titleist.I grant you that. I haven't seen much of Sinner yet but are implying that he might be as big as Fed some day?

Here I amSuch a hoppin' thread
Probably the single fastest outdoor court on the tour right now. However, it seems the fast court nostalgia only exists as a rhetorical device.I don’t see much enthusiasm here. Or is it just me?
I've been enjoying the matches, but I'm also betting which adds some extra "spice" I guess. Could have been a pretty good day for me, but Fognini had to be himself and lose to Pella. de Minaur loss didn't help either.I don’t see much enthusiasm here. Or is it just me?
Can’t believe Jacques Chaussette got yet another WC after quitting at 2-4 down first set in The Real Slam 1R of qualies after getting a WC into that match.I've been working all day. Catching up on scores and news. USO wild cards are out.
Howbout some dude named Sam Riffiss? Can’t believe Jacques Chaussette got yet another WC after quitting at 2-4 down first set in The Real Slam 1R of qualies after getting a WC into that match.
I can understand if he was a perennial second weekend achiever at Flushing but he has one 4R result five years ago.
When will this madness end?
That’s a tradiditional WC awarded to any American that wins the NCAA title. Do you have a problem with that of their other traditional reward that goes to the Kalamazoo Boys 18 champion? Both Riffice and Zachary Svajda have gotten in the same way many others before them. Sock is different. As I stated, Cincinnati gave him a WC into qualies, not main draw, and he didn’t finish a set. At #192, let him qualify or give him the same level reward that Cincinnati did if he failed to make the cut. Or a WC into dubs and mixed dubs. It’s outrageous to keep rewarding mediocrity that has devolved into being out-of-conditioning mediocrity.Howbout some dude named Sam Riffiss?
