How much do you spend per week on food for a single person?
About $100 a week. It costs more when I get lazy or don't have time to do much cooking. I'll often cook enough protein and carbs so that I have it for multiple meals. Then I just have to reheat that and cook some vegetables and make a salad.
Prices on many things are going up rapidly. I could easily see 20% or more inflation in what I eat the rest of this year.
One of the 18 years old kids in my neighborhood is taking a gap year between HS and college to currently train in Pompano Beach Florida between September '21 and March '22. His dad texted me the weekly grocery for the 18 years old, about $1800/week, ouch

Gotta talk to @ByeByePoly and his adventures with Dennis and Denise. That's crazy. That kid eats a lot and has expensive tastes.
I get a lot of my organic vegetables frozen and then just heat them before a meal. I'm lucky that I have access to a lot of free fruit given my coastal neighborhood and the fact that the neighbors don't eat a lot of what is on their trees. The pomegranates are now in season and I'm going to have to juice most of them. I have an endless supply of free lemons, though I've run out of free oranges and tangerines. This next year, I'm going to be more serious about getting a garden going. The problem around here is battling the ground squirrels.
The price of beef and pork has gone up about 100% excepting ground beef. I have cut back on this because I can only take one steak a week. Too rich for the old digestive system. Fresh vegetables have also gone up, but only by 10-15%, so I don't really notice this too much.
$10/week
No, many meals are $1 & free sides. Maybe $11/week when I sphlurghYou're not fooling anyone. We've seen the "eating" thread. You spend more than that on your daily fast food run.

$100???You're good at finding deals. Legend!
Do you know how many fish tacos you can buy for a $100 on taco Tuesday? In reality, even taco Tuesday has gotten more expensive around here due to the world spazz out this last year and this year.
Thanks .govA box of Avocado, 48 of them, has gone up in price from $45USD to $75USD in the past four months.

Happy feasting!!! I just booked a flight to FLL and am visiting some friends until Monday. Making sure we find these lobsters you speak of.He is not training for tennis. He is training for beach body and golf, according to his father. He will play for one of the Ivy league schools in Fall '22.
It is spiny lobster season in Florida and you can get fresh lobster right off the boat from local fishermen. I am heading down to Florida in about a month to escape the Northeast cold. Happy feasting !!!!
