For all talks of fast and slow surfaces, this is the best surface for exciting tennis

Fast enough that players have to be athletic and instinctive but supports long rallies too so point construction plays a big role as well.

Need one major to play like this.

Since that edition of the Masters Cup (today called the ATP Finals) the final to the best of three sets began to be played.
From there, that format was preserved and there was no going back, which is a shame.

Huh, Davydenko struggled in this hardcourt match a bit. As opposed to when he faced Nadal, who he says was like facing any other player.

The agenda is clear. Let's push the narrative that indoor hard is the best conditions for tennis (just because Federer is the indoor hard GOAT along with Sampras).

Sorry, not happening. There will never be a Slam played on indoor hard. And no, those aren't "the ideal" tennis conditions. It's impossible to create high top spin on indoor hard.

Slams display the best possible conditions, all of them are outdoor for a good reason: putfppr conditions support servebots (see the WB 2018 SF), long rallies and the ability to use high top spin to add more variety to the game. Indoor hard eliminates the high top spin option and thus reduces the variety of the game to something mechanical and servebotistic, with short rallies and short interchanges.

The stupidity and insecurity in this post is so so damn high .

Your guy is GOAT BOAT GFOAT(greatest fisherman of all time) be happy about it.

Sometimes it's just about tennis and the type of tennis

And only and only because you implied it, let me just say your logic is bogus.

Different tennis surfaces are meant to test different skills. Grass doesn't support big swings, Clay doesn't support flat strokes. While they work amazingly well on medium fast HC.

Do they become invalid surfaces? ARE FLATTER STROKES/BIGGER SWINGS NOT A PART OF TENNIS? If no then Medvedev and Nadal should stop playing.

Just as Med has a gaping hole in his game because of flatter strokes on surfaces like clay.If your guy is really useless without topspin support and High bounce than he has a big hole in his game.FACT.And that reflects in his zero WTF titles.

Your guy has the greatest achievements in the history of this sport, be happy about it and take your insecurity in some big 3 beauty contest thread.

None of the Big 3 were ugly when they wete young :D Although Fed was good looking when he cut the ponytail.
I personally think Fed looks the best of the three in his older ages. He has a neat dad look about him. Rafa looked better when he was younger. Novak - has he changed? :D

Fast and skiddy surfaces are no fun for me.

Medium-paced HC where both rallying and shotmaking are rewarded equally is the best. I guess it comes as a perk of being a Djoko fan, but still, look at how great rallies dynamics look.
