Bold prediction: Nadal will not beat Djokovic ever again, even on clay!

You have serious mental issues and are incapable of actually reading what I’ve written. Instead you’d rather call me a Djokovic fan, put words in my mouth, and then totally change the argument with your bizarre fantasies about what I’ve said.

The irony of this is that I was arguing for Nadal all May leading up to the match, you thought Djokovic would totally destroy Nadal. You are the worst kind of fan, nervous before the match then cocky afterwards.

you are pathetic and you deserve no respect as a tennis fan, and I suspect you need serious therapy.
Yeah, I remember how you always hype Nadal and bring down Djokovic, no matter what. Then you blame me for not overrating Nadal like you do. And it wasn't just me, almost EVERYONE thought Djokovic was the clear favorite for that 1/4 final. But since he lost, suddenly there are all kinds of excuses.

Djokovic choked in Paris, failing to convert SPs and serve out from 5-3. It was a big time choke from the “mentally toughest player of all time”. He seemed to be a bit off, especially compared to the previous year, and there are various reasons for that.

But instead of saying oh he lacked fitness or sharpness or whatever let’s just call a spade a spade, he had the level to go 5 with Nadal easily, but choked it.
Djokovic to me actually seemed tired physically at the end. Not that it would be impossible for him to pull through, but I think he put too much energy in overturning that 2nd set and then couldn't recuperate properly, having to immediately work against the current in the 3rd. Even though he started off well in the next set, he was probably running on fumes, IMO.

A 3 and a half hours thriller against Alcaraz in Madrid wasn't a big match? I also never claimed Nadal lacked match fitness in AO 2019. This is not why he lost.

After coming off being crushed by Rublev with a bagel in the Belgrade final after being phyiscally unable to compete due to the legit physical match fitness? Yes, he played a good match, but Nadal played Alcaraz just as well the match before.

I bring up Nadal AO 2019, because that is what gets used around here a lot, Nadal wasn't ready for Djokovic in the AO 2019....now I would be fine with that, if they were not hyprocrites having different standards for Nadal and Djokovic. Nadal can make the final of a two week slam but is not ready to take on Djokovic, but Djokovic is always ready to take on Nadal, he is always at his best. Nadal is either never ready or ever fully fit, Djokovic though has no issues.

As if anyone thinks Nadal was going to beat Djokovic in AO 2019 if he didn't skip the end of 2018. The gap between them on hardcourt is just too big at this stage of their careers.

That is not the point though. You can speak like that from a place of reason, but what I am telling you is, when you are saying some Djokovic fans are making all these claims, that this isn't something unique or specific to only fans of Djokovic. I just gave you a perfect example of when the shoe was on the other foot, and what was being said to discredit Djokovic beating Nadal....because the other way just is too painful to swallow, Nadal crushing everyone on his way to the final, with his most dominant ever first six matches in a HC slam, only to be thwarted quite easily in the end by Djokovic.

I am sure you see why I am focusing on showing double standards here.

At the end of the day, Djokovic lost fair and square to Nadal. The better player won, and no shame in losing to Nadal at RG. None whatsoever. In fact, if it took the clay GOAT to beat Djokovic, then he's not doing too badly as some would have hoped.

Hard, grass or even clay, it wouldn't matter anymore.

Nadal has already got his last victory over Djokovic at RG 2022. Djokovic struggled a lot in that match due to his lack of match play but this won't be an issue in the coming years.

The future of tennis looks bright and I can't wait to see them play each other again!
I believe the same. But Nadal has a habit of surprising everyone. This years RG and AO he won matches he was expected to lose

Lmao. Nadal choked the second set from a double break, but of course you will not mention it. Djokovic was just 1 break up in the fourth set, and the game where he was broken wasn't really a choke.

The run of play during the match was such that Djokovic started playing a lot better in set 2 and was the aggressor as can be seen through out the set from 3-0 in that set. Not much Nadal could have done, if the level of play is that good.

Same way in 4th set 5-3 Djokovic serving for the set, Nadal hit a higher gear and was the one with more playing with more energy and fire power..

None of them were choke tbh. Both players out did the other player by better play.

Djoker with proper preparations and appropriate match fitness is favourite against the clay court specialist even on his home turf in Paris. HC and Wimbledon are out of question for Nadal for years now, anyway.
Plexicushion specialist has grown old now. No big victories inside him. His tank is empty.
