Hey Nitefly.
You can be added or just subscribe to this thread. We try to have a meet every month. There is one this Sunday in DC (Rock Creek Park where the Legg Mason is held) - Indoors.

I thought I was a 3.5 approaching a 4.0 on a good day/ or with a consistent practice, but if you are a 4.0, I must be a 2.5.

Unfortunately still not sure if we can make it (due to work issues). But it's great to see that it looks like you have a full contingent who can. So if the situation changes, we might just show up on the day of the event. If all slots are full then, we'd be happy to observe and take pictures.

i just got back from AC. basically stayed inside the casino for three days straight. I lost a lot of money, haha oh well, the free drinks makes up for it. I had a good time and got to play variety of games which is good. I got too greedy!

Mini-hit today.
HB, Shcmad, and I got together for a little hit today.
However I forgot part of my tennis gear. So I tried to play in non tennis shoes for a bit with no success, then switched to barefoot.
So I played barefoot on today January 6th outdoors..........then we were joined by Shcmad's friend Max, who is like 90 years old but still is a baller.
Max and I teamed up and we played some doubles against HB and Shc.
It wasn't pretty as you can imagine, we just were hitting junkballs.
I actually played so bad I think I ruined the day for HB, my bad buddy, I'll remember shoes and try to play some real tennis next time.
I'm glad we got out to have a hit, hopefully Monday/Tuesday we can have another hit and I can play real tennis. :-/

Yes, but Drak didn't go barefoot on a hardcourt in January in the cold Northeast. He did it in sunny Florida on clay. Bit of a difference there! I think PP trumps him!

I can debate that. Clay on Drakulies (never worked a hard day in his whole life feet) are brutal. Think about how clay can rip up your feet.
Now, lets compare that to Bigfoot.. oh i mean PP ( I knew those jokes would come back) on Hard court. PP can handle that much better in the cold. He's still well insulated.

thats pretty cool. one time i was at the courts by myself and this african dude had flip flops on and i end up hitting with him. half way i tell him hes gonna twist an ankle or something, so he kicks the flip flops off and proceeds to kick my a** barefoot. i had tennis shoes on. we rallied for like 30minutes.

Hey fellow TWMACers,
I wanted this meeting to occur in late Dec 07, but powers outside my control couldn't make it happen. As usual, I'm very happy to see the confirmed numbers for the meeting. It's always great to see people enjoy tennis and share it with the rest of the Tennis Warehouse Community.
Now, for some news. This will be my last meeting with TW MAC. 2008 will be a busy year for "El Jefe", and I will be "zapped" for time. I will continue to watch over the TW MAC in spirit, and hope you guys will read my threads regarding my 08 adventures. I would like to give a special thanks to Shcmad, PurePrestige and Topaz for being very supportive and kind. It's been great meeting the group and I'm definetly taking away some long lasting friendships from my encounters.
When: Jan 12th, 12pm

Activities: Singles/Round Robin doubles, Radar Gun recording, and possible Wood Racquet exhibition.

I unfortunately cannot remove the tattoo from my back, so it will always be "El Jefe". Don't ask me about the other tattoos.

Actually you got it wrong. The bottom of the totem pole is actually pretty significant.
Some info for you GG:
Since they were first noticed by European explorers in the 1700s, totem poles may have been misunderstood. I couldn't resist coming out to one last - impromptu round-up. The nice weather didnt help. Now if my legs from the trainers session earlier in the morning can loosen up. It was hard playing PP or any of you.

Still, it was nice to finally hit with you for a little bit. I am deadily tired too because of lack of sleep for last few days and a long travel with metro and marc train didn't help.

Nice playing with you guys today for 5+ hours. My back, shoulders, and legs are sore and tight.
Even though forecasters are announcing 71 degrees tomorrow, I don't know if I'll be able to walk out of my house!
I must say I had a great time. It was one of the best impromptu meets. And, kudos to El Jefe for ditching work and showing up to play with us.

Man...I am tired as he**, too. I will probably go for just a light hit tomorrow since I can't waste the weather.
Yeah, it was all good and fun. It was so much more fun because balls were bouncing the way they were supposed to. My old and broken body got warmed up easier, and only my blisters were bothering me.
Anyway, I looked at the video...and couldn't tell who was hitting the ball with more spins with that angle. I might have to go to the other side of the court and tape it....maybe next time. I've got lots of your pictures, tho...thinking to open up a new website and put them up there...so all of your fans can see them.

If those comments aren't enough to get Ben-Gay to offer sponsorship, I don't know what could.
I honestly didn't want to hit. My trainer is such a nice guy, but when it comes to my comments "that's really really heavy, or that's enough reps right?", he just doesn't get it. Squats of 185lb at 5:30 in the morning is brutal.
So does the PP match count as an feature match? I believe it would be a first for TWMAC. Where's my trophy?
