Wow, you guys string relitively high.

I cant stand high tensions.. The racquet(I think) loses its feel.

And dont you get more power stringing it lower? And vice versa?

And I also use babolat pro hurricane tour 16g

Ipex 7.0 MP w/ TNT Fatcore @ 62. This was my first experience w/ Fatcore, and the stringbed's a little too stiff. I think I'll drop a few pounds next time.

yonex ti-50 57/55 i went with 55 on the poll. i think with hybrid stringing being so popular it's better to give more of a range instead of individual numbers.

yeah I cant stand stiff racquets... so i string pretty low... 52?

but i also cant stand when all the strings get messed up in their order...

ive tried out a whole range of recenttly,
my lowest 43lbs,
my highest 69lbs,
i find that different strings feel better to me at different tensions, thus making me string at different tensions when i choose the strings
polys good on high 40s
semi poly good on low 50s
synt gut good on high 50s
i dont know what effect this going to have on my racquets, but i guess i have a cheap and sturdy enough racquet not to be too concerned about
i guess a graphite racquet is better at handling the tensions changes as i have done
a soft frame racquet possibly would not handle tension changes as well

wohoo most of you string their racquets at under 60 lbs ? :/ Anyways I have tried playing with a low tension once ( around 54 lbs ) and it sucked big time........ I couldn't play a proper shot .. so I usually sting mine at around 64 lbs.....

I've tried many polys iin hybrids. The one that ended up being my fave was 60 synth gut crosses and 57 on the poly mains, so 58.5 I guess.

Yes, but you can lose control as go lower.

So, it's always a compromise: how much control versus how much power.

(And yes, feel comes in there also. I agree that at too high a tension there is little feel. But at too low a tension, I have little feel also--just a trampoline on a stick.)

But on the other end, higher tension means more control

Heck, I need the control with this bazooka that I play with..lol

But honestly, I have always had aggressive swings and the higher tensions facilitates my game more.

59 lbs. for me, always. And, always with full poly. The highest I've ever strung a racket was for a customer at 64 lbs. with Tour Duralast 17 G. in an O3 Speedport White.

Donnay Pro One International midplus at 60 lbs. two pieces. I use the run of the mill syn gut like Gosen OG Micro or Forten Sweet 17.

On the APDC plus I string 63 pounds on the mains and 64 pounds on the crosses. I noticed that a lot of diehard Federer fans tend to string in the low 50's.

Voted 55, but it looks like I'll be moving up to 57-60. Just got a pair of Volkl Tour 9VE's, and 55 seems a few pounds too low for that racquet and my game. Of course, it could simply be because the Lightning XX, a string I've never used before, lost tension quicker than I thought it would...

My lowest at 30 lbs with a 19 gauge.
My highest at 85 lbs with a 15 gauge (can't find a 14).
