If Fed meets Nadal at the FO final (big if, despite this having happened 3 years straight now), Fed should have a new strategy ready. Whether he decides to use it to start the match or as a backup strategy won't matter. The point is that Nadal will probably figure out a way, or practice certain shots, that will make Fed's BH-to-BH strategy which he used effectively in the Madrid final much less effective. To some extent I do agree with the OP, Federer kind of showed all of his cards too soon. Unfortunately, it's either that or use an unproven strategy for the first time in a critical, GOAT determining match, so it's a tough call either way.

I didn't say Federer would beat Nadal at the French, I said he'd beat him if it's their next meeting after the AO and now we know that's not the case. It's anyone's ballgame at this point. I will say that if Federer gets 13 wins on Nadal, he'll lose their very next match due to the curse.

About the same number of times that you predicted that Federer would win several of the past French opens (which he did not) and the number of times you'd predicted that he'd win all four GSs in a year (which he did not.)
If I doubted you every time you said something, I'd still be right more often than wrong.

By the time Fed gets the win no.13 over Nadal they both might be playing in the seniors tour and nobody would care who'd win the next meeting. But of course I'll try to follow the result just to see how good you are.:twisted:

I didn't say I was never wrong. I said Nadal had the curse of 13 working against him. When Nadal beat Federer for the 13th time, the curse fell upon him. Now that he lost, the curse is over. Unless Djokovic has some kind of curse working in his favor, I can't tell you whether he'll win or not, but the safe answer is probably not.

LOL. I think it has more to do with Fed having 13 slams, not having beaten a top 4 in 13 attempts since the USO final and the current H2H of Fed and Rafa being about the same number of slams they have right now.... :shock:

i don'y know where or how you get this stat. afaik, federer lost only 7 consecutive times against the other top 4. that's after the beating he gave djokovic and murray back-to-back at the us open.

You see, I was guaranteeing Federer would beat Nadal due to the curse and it already happened. Understand that future predictions will not come with a money back guarantee like the last one did. There is no curse on either one of them anymore. I'll go with Nadal and Federer in the final once again. I don't think I can go further than that at this point. I will say that I'm just about guaranteeing a Federer victory for Wimbledon. This one you can take to the bank.

No curse? Have you even read my previous posts? Almost nobody believed Federer would win his next match against Nadal even though I guaranteed it would happen. Not only did it actually happen, it happened on clay of all surfaces. No curse, you say? You'd better think twice, my friend. The curse of 13 is very strong.
