He uses the oversize; looks stock except for a bit of lead @ 12 & 2 o'clock ? I too would like to know exactly whta his set-up is.

Isn't it a Prince Original Graphite?

One thing of interest that I noticed. For the majority of the match, Spadea did play with a racket that was leaded up. For a while though he appeared to be playing with one that had no lead tape on it. This was right about the time he was serving for the match in the second set. Later in the match, he had a frame that was once again leaded up.

The one that didn't look like it had any lead on it may have had the lead under the grommits.

because it was in fact 110 sq. inches originally.....around 1988 PRINCE updated it and made it ever so slightly smaller as well as changed the graphics.....it has been 107 for over 20 years now

no, they just changed the way they measured the head size, like how head does it.

NO!!....they made the top of the head of the frame slightly narrower.....I still have both versionsand they changed the graphics....also, it hasn't been called "110" since then

no graphic ever said 107. it's been called the graphite series 110/90, graphite 110/90, and graphite OS/MP (MP-even though it's really a mid).

since it was changed from 110 to 107, it was called ""OS" and "Mid".....they modified the oversize version when they introduced the mid version

I'm just wondering which versions are 110 and which are 107. i'm not asking if it's labeled on the racquet.

the prince graphite oversize was never labeled or called a 110 after it was changed to 107

the difference in the graphics/cosmetics are easy to see......the 110 was black with green pin striping around the frame........the newer versions 107 had gold pin striping

From another store:

Some 1L grip racquets we have in-stock say 110 sq.in. directly on the frame, but the racquet is actually 107 sq.in. This is because sometime during the 15+ years this racquet has been in production, the method of measuring head size changed from measuring beginning at the outside of the frame to measuring the actual string bed (starting on the inside of the frame). When this racquet was re-measured the size changed from 110 to 107 sq.in. The racquets are identical and by today's method of measurement they are all 107 sq. in.

From another store:

I am no expert on the different methods of measuring racquet head sizes and/or how they have changed through the years, but from experience and as someone who used this racquet for many years....this I can tell you......

when they stopped calling it and refering to it as "110".....was at the same time the frame was indeed modified from it's original design....anybody who has both can put them side by side and clearly observe this....also, when it was at that point in time modified, is when the green pin striping was changed to gold

I have never owned the most current "paintjob" version that is sold now, so I can't tell you if it has been modified any further in design, but, I would guess that it proboblly has been in some way......

any collector that wants a Prince Graphite Oversize for it's "110" era needs to make sure it is black with green pin stripes.....if it has gold pin stripes, it was a newer version
