I live in Minneapolis, MN and have really started to love tennis over the summer. I am a total beginner and my question is, are tennis lessons really worth it? (Which I have a feeling they will be) And does anyone know of places in Minnesota that offers lessons? Because I would really love to get better. I am not sure if this is the place to put this, but I didnt know where else to post this question

play with your friends or against the wall. the wall has helped me out soo much.
I do play a lot with my friends, but it might be nice to get some help from someone who has been playing a lot and knows more than I do to give me some pointers on exactly what I am doing wrong

There is only one phone number and he is a russian coach that seems kind of intimidating because I have played hockey for a russian coach and he was extremely intense. I just wish there were some more affordable options for tennis lessons in Minnesota

For lessons, go to www.uspta.com and do the "Find a Pro." Doug Matuska is one that I will vouch for being an exceptional teacher, as well as a really nice guy.
For drills, Baseline does drills, as does www.publicindoortennis.com, where TTW's own TonLars teaches. I've done lots of drills there, and have grown as a player quite a bit in that time.

Do you know how much Doug Matuska charges?
USPTA seems to be more popular, but PTR is another list of certified/well trained coaches.
