The only thing that bothers me is the fact that he uses a KFactor TEAM! One of the lightest rackets out, and he looks relatively strong.
It's a 10.9/11.0oz strung racquet. That's mid-range weight. Hardly one of the lightest racquet out there.

That thing is probably leaded up to the max. Its a great platform for customizing, friend of mine leaded his up to 12.5oz and about 5pts hl, that setup with BB rough is a great combo!
The 6.1 Team and Tour 95 series really are undervalued as great platform racquets.

It's not leaded, he says in the comments his is @ 290g.. And I think it's EXTREMELY light considering I use the K90 and have used the KPS 88
But that's a comparative statement and not a factual one as you portrayed originally.

I wouldn't really call neither of them 'solid' but that depends on what you're comparing it to. If you're comparing them to club players then yes they are solid, if you wanna compare them to other competitive players, ITF Futures players and so on then that's different.
From either two there weren't many big solid points when they were serving, which is what should be judged the most. Ever player at their level can hit balls back and forth numerous times with pace when they were just practicing, that's a given or at least should be. Not sure if anyone else picked up on this but the guy on the far side had a tough time matching up his game to the speed of the court, the guy in orange obviously has more power but not something the other guy shouldn't be able to handle. The guy from the far side his balls sat up way too much, didn't have much depth and deserved to be punished which of course made his opponent look good but even with that the guy in the orange shirt made some brain dead low percentage shots.
If you watch from 8:30 onwards you can see how his opponent is hitting his groundies too shallow and getting attacked every time, on a hard court that is that fast that's a death sentence. Far off from being pro for both of them though for now.

Ximian, most people don't understand what anything above a 5.0 really is....He is a solid player, I would say 5.5ish.

This guy is very solid all around, 5.5.
His foot work is amazing, timing is perfect.Solid strokes all around volleys, forehand, serves, 1HBH.......is great but it looks like he shorts his follow thru on that side, which I would love to see him extend it fully. But it works for him and it is dangerously good!!!

It looks to me like he's using a whole lot of arm on his shots and not a lot of his body

hahaha not close to being pro. I've seen so many players at this level. Sure he's good, maybe even around the area of great, but not going pro anytime soon.

How is his tournament record? A video of someone hitting against someone else tells you very little about player potential. Tennis ability is all relative. I'm not sure that this player is pro potential.
His opponent isn' as good as him, giving plenty of weak balls and not being able to take the initiative. Still, credit to him for making a lot of winners/forcing shots on that video. Agree with the poster above that he could win a match or two in futures qualifying, might even make it to the main draw in some countries.

The guys is 22 years old from France. He has played in one ITF event and lost in the first round of qualifying for a futures event several years ago. Not sure what he is doing now.
He is no where close to being pro. Probably in the 5.0-5.5 range.

if you watch the video he posted of himself hitting, you will cringe at his bad form and total lack of consistency. jolly is a 3.5 player on a good day.

This guy has excellent well "mapped out" footwork in my opinion and some very nice strokes. His 1hbh may look a little tight, but I bet he would bagel many of the people criticizing him here.
What does Jolly even have to do with this thread. Those attacks on him in this thread seem pretty malicious and childish. Maybe we can get video of a match or matches between Jolly and some of the people criticizing him here. That would be fun!!

Actually if you read through the threads the comments regarding the guy in the vid are almost all positive (that is unless you consider calling somebody a 5.0-6.0+ negative). One guy said he armed the ball and some people including myself said he was not 7.0 or a pro and that was based on his ITF record (or actually lack thereof). I don't consider that a negative comment just statement of fact. All the negative comments were about Jo11y.

It amuses me no end when people make these statements. This guy might have great looking shots/technique and never land a ball in the court. Or he might fall apart as soon as he has to hit two forehands in a row in a point. I honestly don't think we can tell anything about his rating from this video. We can't even see where his shots are landing!!!!.....of course.
I'm not sure what video you are refering to but the one of Matt Troung the OP put up shows a number of camera angles with some clearly showing where his shots are landing. Now, while I agree it's difficult to state exactly what level this guy is just by looking at the video, one can easily assess what he is not.
His technique, footwork, strokes, placement, shot selection and consistency all provide convincing evidence this guy is capable. Need to see his match record to confirm but I'd be really surprised if he was rated lower than a 5.0 or higher than 6.0.
