Dude just go for Cyberflash or Big Hitter. Seriously, LUXILON STRINGS ARE THE BIGGEST SCAM IN TENNIS HISTORY.
People think that pros use them because they are great. Yes, they are in the first 3-4 hours and after that plain crap. Why pros use them? Because most of them get it for free (wilson is in charge of luxilon marketing) and anyways they are cutting it almost everyday.
And the average tennis player just gets owned by the marketing and thinks that what pros use is the best for them when they should be using Synthetic Gut that costs 1/5 of the price.
The pros or skilled players that aren't sponsored and use it don't know about alternatives, don't have the knowledge to know it or IN MOST OF THE CASES they don't take care of their gear because they have someone to do it.
I already posted this story in the forum, but i will do it again.
A great friend of mine (he's loaded) plays with Luxilon alu power 1.25. He's very picky about tensions and strings but he doesn't know **** about strings. He just thinks that what Federer uses is the best for him. Everytime i tell him about strings i use (redcode, polystar energy) he brags that Luxilon is the best and he knows it and says that if they were that greats a lot of more pros would be using it and blablablablabla
Anyway, once he gaved me a 200m reel of alupower and his racquet for stringing. I decided to prove him something and to our coach too.
I had some sets of Cyberflash and i strung his racquet with CF and didn't told him anything. He was saying that from that time on i would be the only guy stringing his racquets because the string was softer and wasn't getting dead soo quick. He was a little bit better getting some depth. After i told him that i switched a string that costs 250€ per reel by one that costs 70€ he just couldn't believe in that.
After i told him that he started to play like crap. Plain Placebo effect.
