Dunlop Max 200G?

Hey all, I just bought a pair of Wilson ProStaff Classics (95 sq inches) and the woman I bought them from decided to give me a Dunlop Max 200G for free after talking a little bit with me, which was really appreciated. All in good condition: only a few scuffs and a little paint lost in the 3 and 9 o'clock positions of the heads, and the grips have been replaced. I've browsed some old threads but haven't found a picture of a Max 200G that looks like this:

Does this 200G have any connection to the one that is so frequently praised here? Is it worth anything? Any info on the Dunlop?

Its a nice racket, same mold with grafil injection but not the model that is soo disired by most of the players and collectors. Sorta like the diff between a ps stV and the taiwon ps60. Most would not be able to detect the diff but the connoisseurs are very particular. Id still very much enjoy hitting that 200g, especially if strung with gut.

Alright, thank you Joe. You don't happen to have an estimate on how much it could possibly fetch, should I want to sell it? Or of the two Prostaff classics? A couple of pictures to should the condition of them:

Structurally very sound, only a little lost paint on the sides and top of the hoop.

Can't wait to test them out and see how they compare to the PS 6.0 95. Will see if there is a big difference due to the stiffness.

On the Max200G that is the cosmetic that was offered in Australia if I am not mistaken. It was made in England like all Max200G. It is from 1988. In my opinion it is very desirable because it was a cosmetic that was only available in a small market. Everybody else got this cosmetic of the Max200G in 1988.

Yeah, he is quite the rascal, that Bart Simpson.

I'm not sure if I want to sell it just yet, I'm mostly just curious about how much one would roughly go for. I'll want to at least try it, and perhaps trade it for another racquet when the time comes to part with it, and when that time comes, I'll be sure to contact you first, see if you're still interested. On a sidenote: are you Swedish, since you seem to have understood what the Bart dude says? Because I would always part with it to a Swede before having to ship it abroad. :) Too much of a hassle.

Ah, I see. Thank you very much for the information, vsbabolat. Much appreciated! Yeah, I got a little skeptical when I got home and checked out the racquet to find that it didn't look like the green Max 20G that I was used to seeing on this board. Glad to hear it's still pretty sought after and rare - my first real classic, this baby. :)

I seem to have gotten ahold of a even rarer Max 200G than a normal one! This is pretty cool.

Rarer, but less desirable by collectors (in general).

Collectors want the black ones due to the McEnroe/Graf connection.

Aha, that explains why jimbo doesn't have that particular model - he said he'd never seen it before. I happen to have three of them, in 9.5/10 condition.

It seems like the cosmetics hold up better than the model available elsewhere - there's less tendency to fade.

As long as there is at least one who wants it, it's all good. :)

And yeah, I thought I was getting one of the McEnroe/Graf 200G's when he handed it over to me, but I'm more than happy nonetheless: it's not everyday someone gives you such a racquet for free.

Do you have any idea what a good price for the racquet would be? If it isn't as high as some of the rare racquets you see every now and then, I would most likely be more interested in trading it for another classic racquet.

If it is the same as the one thats normally black green and gold colored i am keen on it. Can you weigh the one you have?I
will be visiting Sweden next week so perhaps we can do a deal. What is you email adress?

Hey Swedechris. According to vsbabolat, who I seem to recall being quite the expert on old racquets, especially Head racquets, has pointed it out as being the same as the black, green and gold one in one of the posts here. Unfortunately I have no means of weighting it, but it feels a little heavier than my other racquets: the PSC and PSO 95.

However, I know that Dino, a fellow Swede (though I'm finnish, but I live in Swedeland), has expressed his interest in the racquet, and might want to trade it for one of his racquets if we can come to a reasonable trade and since he was first I would like to see with him first.

And thanks, but to be honest: it couldn't have ended any other way and thus didn't come as a surprise. ;-) I'm more glad about Selanne only being two goals away from becoming the third European with 600, with another Finn, Jari Kurri, and Jeremir Jagr being the other two.

I hate to question you, but are you sure?

I bought 2 of these green versions (with red/white chevrons), both from the UK!

Are you thinking of this green version (with red/white chevrons) in the PROII version? As I did get one of those from an Australian Seller.

I think there is some confusion here, anyway yes you do have one version that I'm after, in fact it's the only version out of 18 that I'm aware of, that I don't have in my collection!

Having said that, there are 2 versions that I think may exist, but I've never seen photos of them, so maybe they do, maybe they don't:shock:
