What's your favourite tennis ball?

I like Wilson US Open, Dunlop Club, Dunlop Fort and Babolat Team.

Yeah, I like the Wilson US Open, Dunlop GPs, & Penn Titaniums. I've played w/some Gammas I liked, but don't recall what they were.

Tretorn Micro X Pressureless- best I've ever played with. They last so long and play like new for the duration of their life- definitely worth the price for me.

Dunlop Grand Prix and Dunlop Championship, you just can't beat the durability.

Yeap, not easy to find around but got great experience with them when someone got a couple of cans.

only recently tried Dunlop Fort.

Initial knock was no good.

But they seemed to get better on second or third outing.

(And before you accuse me of using flat ones I am referring to using these in practice only! :) )

For me, it's Dunlop -> Wilson -> Penn. The Dunlop seems to hold pressure longer than the other two.

I use Dunlop Grand Prix ones but I notice that there is a new Dunlop ball called A player that is a bit more expensive.

Has anyone tried this and know whether this is the better than the Grand Prix? Is this just Dunlop Fort renamed for the US market?

Dunlop do indeed "rebrand" for different markets so it's not a bad assumption. I believe Fort is also available in the US though no? There is now "Fort Elite" over here in Europe also. Not sure what the difference is. Feel the same to play with to me.

Dunlop GP
Slaz Wimbledon Hi-Vis

Wilson US Open

I have not used a 'championship' (low-end ball) in years.

Has anyone tried the babolat or Volkl ball? I haven't. Maybe it's their reputation in other aspects of tennis eqt, but I am guessing those are high quality.

Dunlop GrandPrix's. Although I have had bad luck with them recently...about a month back I had one explode on me during a point the first day it was used (lost all pressure), this happened again a couple weeks back although it was probably the third day it had been used so most balls would have been completely dead by then anyways. This is the only pressurized ball I have had this happen with.

Explode? Literally torn-open? Wow, never seen or heard of that before.

No, not torn open, just made a loud thud, and when the point ended we checked the ball and it had zero pressure. Just like a really really dead ball.
