Yea, but I know a sweet looking pair of shoes when I see them!

I am not prejudiced against other shoes, I just happen to have a lot of Nike ones.

J

Same here, I have a ton of Nikes because they are the easiest ones to get. I can get stuff from the emp store from Nike whenever, but i can never get Adidas gear.

Yea, I have the black and silver Barricades, and the White/black Feather IV, but not much else in the way of Adidas, maybe a couple of old pairs of tennis shoes laying around, and a bunch of Adidas running shoes, and Casual shoes that I absolutely love. Less than 15 pairs of Adidas total though.

the oreos, now that they are breaking in :)

Suckers are stiff right?

I have a bunch of pairs and can't bring myself to wear them to play in yet.

Going to have to fire them up for some dubs first after I am done walking around and going to the gym in them.

yeah, they are the stiffest tennis shoes ive come across, i only have used them during hitting sessions.. i think i broke them in quicker this way rather then walking, but it wasnt pleasant :) really like how they feel now..

I would need like Size 17 in them lol. Those things were so tight.

J

Yeah, some of the Nike's are pretty narrow. Trying them on
makes me feel like a duck and I usually have to go to a size 12.

The Cages are okay for me though. Can stay w/ same 11.5
as my barricades I had b4 & other shoes.

That is the reason that I usually wear Nike. My forefoot is human sized, and the rest of my foot is REALLY narrow, and my entire foot is flat. So Nikes fit me best. I have to wear Size 14 in Barricades. But the Vapor Speeds were super super small, I could barely get my foot into a 13, when I usually wear 12.5-13 in most Nike shoes (Excluding Ballistec 1.3)

Hey Fellas! I need some help. How is the durability on the Lunarlite Vapors?

I have 3 times been tempted to buy them when I saw really good prices, but I try them on and they feel and fit great, but looking at the shoe it looks like such a flimsy piece of junk that I can't imagine it not falling apart under hard singles play.

And looking at the outsole it looks like it would just be ground to nothing in short order on a hard court.

I have relegated almost all of my Vapors to clay only status because of durability issues, but the new ones look like the sole is not really suited for clay, and the rubber looks softer than even the last gen of vapors.

I don't want to **** away $50 on something that will be junk in a couple of weeks. I am totally spoiled by the awesome durability of the Ballistecs.

Why doesn't Nike just re-release the Vapor Speeds. They would make so much money because I'm sure most people would get multiple pairs. I know I would.

That's the question I've been asking for about 5 years...
I think I would buy 10 pairs in every colorway of those awesome shoes! :D

What i do wonder about the vapors though, are they really as good as we all remember? Rose-tinted memories of happy times and all that.
I know i loved mine, but they were the first vapors i ever got. I know for a fact they were better than the III's because i hated my pair and went back to the II's, even though the air bubbles had burst.
I'm not complaining though, just wondering. Saying that, i'd still buy loads because they look so dam good

Got them today.

Things I noticed:
- It does feel lighter, has more flex in the upper and breathes better.
- The outsole feels the same in terms of height but the upper material rides a little lower around your ankle.
- Toe box feels a little narrower than the 5s
- The outsole above the heel is noticeably more "spongey", a little softer on the heel.

I think its significantly better than previous Barricade models. I'm super stoked about them. It feels like adidas listened to certain things people wanted tweaked.

No not at all. They feel more responsive.

The other thing I noticed holding them up to my V's is that on the 6's the heel both on the upper and the outsole look slightly narrower than the Vs. And that taking into consideration the Vs are worn and a little stretched.

Yep. Got them at my local shop. I saw the black/blue colorway as well. The owner said their adidas distributor told them they were one of the first shops to put an order in for the 6s and that the earliest they would be shipped was last week.
