Cahill just said Fiasco had a deal with Dunlop but is playing with Tecnifibre and no longer has a deal with Dunlop.He also said He will be looking for racket companies in a few weeks.
Verdasco back to his Tecnifibre racket.

Yep, heard that too. He's playing with the Tech (blacked out) at the USO, with a Dunlop bag b/c he's still under contract. But will be seeking a new deal after the Open.

Guessing there must be a clause in his contract that they must produce a racket he likes he can move. You would have to fancy him going back to Tecnifibre

Its just a weird situation. Seems he left Tecnifibre for the money, but unlike some players wants to use what he plays best with. So its looking like he might as well get paid something for using Tecnifibre instead of nothing for using a blacked out stick right?

He should go back to that Yonex he won the SAP Open with, he seemed to be playing really well with that one.
And he won New Haven, Kooyong and Barcelona with his TF.

Technifibre was certainly not happy losing Verdasco as a player. Although Verdasco was very happy with his Technifibre SMU, when he decided to leave Technifibre he was leaving without his bat. He went through alot of playtesting and tweaking to finally get that Technifibre bat to his liking.
Technifibre and Dunlop both produce their bats at the same OEM. With those star aligning for him, he was presented with an opportunity where he was more likely to get a bat produced identical to or similar to his old bat which Yonex could never do for him...it all turned on the design! Did Dunlop end up acquiring the design plans for Verdasco's SMU from Technifibre? I'll leave that for you to decide and draw your conclusions.

Verdasco was " growing" with the Technifibre racket.
Of course when he started to be higher in the ranking other big brands were trying to get him under contract thanks to the fact that the french company even though makes great rackets it is still a small company and , of course, cannot compete financially.
In fact he has changed from Technifibre to Yonex, but it did not work since he was not happy. Then he had contract with Dunlop but,again, he has practically always played with technifibre even though painted all black to disguise it.
Now we hear that he is looking for a new "supplier" .
Well aware that we are talking about big money ( and Technifibre cannot offer )
the discussion is : This guys already have and get a lot of money. Wouldn't be better to play with a racket that makes us happy ?

Are you an idiot? RC has made some legendary sticks. I am quite sure he knows what he is talking about.
But doesn't it simply come down to why Verdasco would leave Tecnifibre in the first place? Money's the driving force in all of this and I guess Verdasco could be the loser if he can't find someone that's willing to manufacture a new racquet to his TF's specs AND pay him what he feels he's worth. He'll be in a situation where he's playing with a limited number of blacked out frames with no alternatives.

Verdasco should go to Babolat, he could use the APD-Lite because I know he likes the super-super lite racquets, or maybe he could sign on and they could make a Pure Storm Lite or something.
