how so?
his coach's criticism of tennis canada paints a totally different picture. he wasnt invited to train at the national tennis program till late in his junior career. i think he was 17 when he went to montreal

I know a friend who has been with him in the National Program! The guy can't become profressional because of his injury! He said he is a very shy and funny guy! However that it so suprising that this mellow kid get angry and frustrated on the court! Right now he seems calm....which is actually translating into his tennis program!

He played tennis at 8...My Friend met him at the program when he was in the under 14's! I don't think he was the favoured guy in tennis in canada.....Yes he had a big serve....many people are suprised by Milos....even my friend!

I don't have a problem with what he said. As I stated, Tennis Canada used to suck. Now they are on the right track. The current structure/personel/player development programs have only been in place for a few years. You can already see progress. Rome was not built in one day...

toronto training centre only started in 2009. i think it is at york.
the only training centre before that was in montreal.
he was with curtis casey from 8-17.
that serve is developed by casey not tennis canada.

When he was younger perhaps, but when he moved to Montreal, where he spent 3 years, his development was entirely supervised (and is still) by Tennis Canada, including "importing" a top French coach which I mentionned above. Do you know who Louis Borfiga is?

who doesnt know louis. i like his forehand. he is very condesceding at coaching conference, i heard. thats likely to cover up his own inadequacies.
they also brought in bob brett
only 2 years in montreal. he was in spain last year.

Nope, I didn't even try out....but I'd know they would be too good for me to join....maybe when I get a lot better! SO far just happy with playing at least twice a week! till summer comes!

Ya explains why I stay on these forums....read Wikipedia pages about past professional players, download old tennis matches, visit tennis.com everyday! Parents think I am crazy and are annoyed. It an addiction... More like a game to enjoy all your life! Where you try to improve and have fun till the day you die! I know so many guys in their late 50's and 60's who are so crafty and annoying! They angle all these balls everyone,,,,making you tired using the youth to their advantage! So I know I can still have fun even when I get old...can say that in many sports excluding martial arts!

The potential was there but he was still pretty raw. And bigger guys usually take longer to develop and grow into their bodies so it's not unusual for them to be late bloomers. So I think everybody is surprised (including Tennis Canada) at how well he's doing currently. Probably why Borfiga said today that it's a tad early to talk about top 10 and that he still has a lot of work to do.

Hey, I'm 50 and I still play.
It's funny when I play with my nephew (he's 13, in a tennis sports&study program, I think he's ranked 20 something in U14 in Quebec), he keeps trying to blast every groundstroke and I just feed him junk. Then he gets frustrated and shouts "why do you do that! that's not tennis!" lollll

I met Milos personally off Ventura Blvd at the Jamba Juice...and also on the Seinfeld set back in 1996. Nice enough guy, very personable. And as an athlete and an actor, it takes talent to look that uncoordinated on the court, hahah.

Well you don't have to be a york student...however the fee is very expensive... I think like 20-30 dollars to book the court! However York Tennis Club Members get to pay 5 dollars for 2 hours on the court( Sometimes the courts are empty so we stay a few more hours to a max of 6 hours).
Varsity members get it free anytime
!I think you might have better options....the courts aren't great except for the Rexall Centre court, Indoor Bubble and outdoor practice courts!

My Friend got injured...so he was out of the program.....He had to change to his non dominant hand because of an injury on his dominant hand! He can still play good which is quite suprising but defintly not like before!
Milos isn't injured however....but then again I wouldn't know!

About 5 summers ago Milos came to our little community club for an exhibition match filling in for a former ranked Canadian who had to cancel at the last moment. He was a tall gangly kid booming serves....who would have thought 5 years latter, he would be taking out Verdasco!

That's it? All I get is that one liner? No need to explain why? Why is what country you play for so important at each tournament anyways? Only thing that would keep Milos in Canada is MONEY. If he gets huge endorsements.. Otherwise, I think he'd rather spend his time in Budva laying on the beach.

As for Milos staying in Canada for the money, hahhaha, yes, the almighty Loon!
Opposite of Rusedski's move to the UK. But it's a different deal (the CDN dollar is strong).
I don't know Milos apart from two visits to the Seinfeld set, but let's hope he has the sense to stay (while maybe working some dual citizenship mojo, sure) and showing some loyalty to the country where he was raised from diapers to dunk overheads.
He can always chill on the beach at Budva in the off-season and when he retires. And if he's anything like his Philippoussian body-type suggests, that could be during injuries/rehad, too.
For now, let's just get the kid some longer shorts. I think he's an L or XL guy wearing a M, hahah. Shortshorts....well, you can take the boy out of the Balkans but you can't take the Balkan out of the boy....what? Montenegran, pleeease!
