Fabfed..... you're the anti-depressant.... super-intoxicating... laughing juice-man.....(happy things) and I LOVE YOU!!!!.... seriously though... as much as one straight, god-fearing-man can love another... I LOVE YOU.

Thank you for all the great pics and threads over the years.... a lot of people would not go through the time and effort to post the pics and info. Much appreciated.

^ Yup... but it's not like swinging an 11.1 or 11.2oz stick... you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

It's 12.68oz. for nole and 12.86oz. for fed.... in that weight threshold... blindfolded... you would be able to definitely tell which frame is heavier.

I recently (last week) removed 7grams from my frame and could notice a real difference.

Yep you will feel the difference but It will be noles lighter racket that feels heavier witht he higher SW and lower balance

^ Yep. I have 2 EXO Graphites... one is the JPN spec, while the other is the International spec. Despite them both having a static weight of 346g (strung and leather-gripped), the JPN version is a lot head-lighter than the Int'l version. Very noticeable when you pick it up.

Can't understand how anyone can play with those Djoko-dampeners, i've used up 3-4 in a couple of months, the just keep wooshing off, when i make a rubbish stroke.

Sure, i'm around 4.0, but for the amateur market the dampener should be a problem for most users.

We dont make "rubbish" strokes...

Just kidding, just kidding man, all jokes aside I am using rubber band and I swear its the best dampener I have ever used in terms of dampening the sound, while I personally rarely had my dampener fly off added bonus of this rubber band setup is that it will never fly off AND the best feature is that it is maybe 2-3 dollars for bag of 1 pound of #64 rubber bands which looks like 500 of them in a bag. In other words set for like 10 yrs...

Then you'd have no problems posting said pictures, correct? Actually, you should be able to find lots of pictures on the web, right?

Fabfed's findings are consistent with what we've heard about Djokovic's frames from other sources.

Fabfed,

Thanks for the pics. And for being flexible with all the requests, your purchases have really helped all of us in the pro player's gear section.

Just thought you'd like to know with all the trolling going down.

Thanks FabFed. Loving this thread.

(if I may make a request, what is the balance point on Federer's racquet? apologies if its already been answered)

Some guy or gal, green with envy posting crap all over the place.

It appears that the crap was removed by the moderators.

So you really didn't miss anything.

Not to argue but IIRC, FabFed's Nadal stick came out at 33.3cm.

He was 33cm at Indian Wells this year so I assume that his HC setup and he goes back to 33.3 or.4 for the clay.
Just for my understanding, are these measurements taken when the racquets are unstrung? I'm guessing, yes.

My pleasure guys, happy to have shared with everyone :)

Fabfed,

Just would like to extend a big thank you for all of the pictures and for doing so many requests. My friends and I have really enjoyed browsing through all of your threads and viewing your beautiful acquisitions. It's partly why I've now signed up as a member on this forum :)

PS - Don't let the haters get you down; there will always be the doubters.

mustn't forget that me and theonehander were trolling him, and so he also started making threads insulting us.

I had good fun with him, haha.

This weight seems consistent with the weight that Greg Raven has listed - 360g. The balance and SW there are 32.0cm and 370 if I remember correctly so don't be surprised tomorrow when Fab says he measured it three times and it came out 320mm 321mm and 322 mm.

Congrats Fabfed on yet another great acquisition! I have a few questions, if you don't mind me asking ;).

1. What overgrip does Djoko use??
2. What is his gripsize?

Again, congrats man!

I haven't commented yet, I just wanted to say congrats to FabFed! Another great piece for the collection. I don't mean to start another round of discussions, but I support what you do with your items. I mean, for example, I have an autographed Chipper Jones baseball bat (he was my favorite baseball player of the 90s). According to some on here, I'm being ridiculous if I do not take it out and take a few cuts with it. I have personal value in the item itself.

Cheers!

So for a start it is 32.8cm BP, but if he measure it again it will be 32.0 cm BP ??

Please explain it better...

Do variances such as where the dampener is placed, how the overgrips are wrapped (such as how much overlap there is) and minor differences in the placement of lead affect the balance?

Great sharing, Fabfed!!

Could you please do this on Nole's racket to see what's inside the grip?

I believe that it's not harmful. Thanks!!

Given what's known about the frame, I'd guess that most people with Pro Stocks that have looked know what to expect.

If you're going to open it up, don't use a metal instrument as you can pretty easily cause a few scratches.

Might be harmless, but a new user asking for what has been asked umpteen times and resulted in endless earache/eyeache/wasted energy?? Fabfed will not do anything invasive to his racquets, accept that.

Fabfed, keep the pics coming!

It could be harmful if the trapdoor is glued. That was the case with several head prostock frames I came across...

So basically, if I wanted a stick closest to Djoker's, I'd need to get a Liquidmetal Radical and lead it up?

movdqa

Talk Tennis Guru
Well, you could do that but the flex on the Radical is 64 while the flex on Djokovich's is reportedly in the low 50s. It's pretty hard to find a retail frame with a flex in the low 50s but there are some other cheap frames out there with flex in the mid-50s like the Microgel Radical. The PSLGT may work out (59). The Pro Kennex Redondo Mid-Plus (56 or 57) may be another option.

Fabfed, grip shape is Head like or Wilson like (due to fact that he used to Wilson)

Thanks!

Hey Fabfed, could you measure the beam width of noles racquet? Federer's racquet is 17mm and I was curious if noles was similar or not. Thanks

Nole gave one of his frames to a ballboy or some kid hired for the presentation today in Montréal. Looks like the kid was really intrigued with the frame.

Seems it has lead tape just about everywhere. But yes, you can see it under the translucent bumper.

I believe Nole's Lead placement simulates the CAP grommets. So if you look, the lead should have the same hoop coverage.
