After Rose's injury I think I'm seeing SA go all the way. Probably will beat the Heat in the finals. Still hoping for a miracle in Chi town.
I'm sorry to hear about D. Rose, that's got to hurt. Does Luke Walton still play for the lakers? Didn't see him on the bench/in the game today.

I'm fine with the technical and the toss.

But that play should have been a no-call. I hate it those calls where players are scrambling for the ball. You've got two pairs of hands wrapped around the ball, and then the official makes a 50/50 call.

I dunno about the Spurs. I think too many people are jumping on the bandwagon right now. The Jazz aren't really a good team, right? They managed to stick with the Spurs and their offense for most of the game. It was always within 4-6 points until the Spurs kind of exploded and the lead just shot up.

That's just one game. The Spurs' depth is going to be the difference. The only team I can see beating them is Memphis in the 2nd round. I don't think OKC has what it takes to get past SA.

Yeah, their 2nd unit is excellent.

I too don't think OKC will get past San Antonio. I'm not going to be surprised if they can't get pass Mavericks.

If they do, they most certainly won't get past Lakers. At the perimeter, I give a slight edge to OKC. But they certainly don't have anything in the paint that can hurt Lakers, whereas the Lakers can definitely dominate them.

I'm pulling for Memphis, they match up well against anyone in the West.

I think not having Chauncey Billups will really hurt the Clippers in the Playoffs. They're so much smaller without Chauncey. Not to mention he's another guy that can control the pace of the game, and make something out of nothing.

WOW! That was an amazing comeback! A game of 3 quarters, haha. Grizzlies played the first 3, and Clippers played the last 3.

Also, how fast did Caron Butler change back into his suit after fracturing his left hand?! LOL.

I turned the game off, how the hell did Memphis blow that one? That could be devastating.

He's used to being in the suit w/ all the injuries he's had the past few years. :)

Chuck said he did a drive thru shower to get changed that quickly.

I think the way the big players have been rested throughout the season will be really important, especially in this condensed year where players haven't had the time to fully recover between games. We're starting to see a few injuries to important players and it's only the first games of the playoffs.

The other key is the depth, as jamesblakefan mentions. Teams just don't get a rest, when they look at the bench to see Duncan and Ginobili on there you'd think they would be happy, but then you have Splitter and someone like Neal who comes on and knocks 3's down for fun it seems.

I think in this lock-out affected season, they have all the tools needed to go far. We'll see though, there are some dangerous teams in the West, but i've fancied them for awhile now and i've not seen anything to change my mind just yet.

I'd liked the Bulls chances of winning but with Rose out, I'm leaning alittle more towards OKC or Spurs. I still want to see the Bulls take eastern.

This Bomani Jones guy's an idiot. Just said LA should tank a few games so that they'll lose MWP for less in the 2nd round. Pure stupidity. But it was ESPN, so I should follow my advice and only watch PTI.

I was actually thinking about that idea today. I would never do it, but the thought did enter my mind.

Amare Stoudemires frustrated? 9 shots is all he gets in 41 minutes? Just because Carmelo takes 17 more shots than he does shouldnt make him want to crush a fire extinguisher case should it?

It obvious Amare is not a good fit for this team. Plus he is laways hurt and behind the scenes it was rumored his back was still at a point where it was limiting him anyway.

All the ststs point to the Knicks being a better team without Amare anyway.

“It’s a tough situation,” Anthony said. “It seems like it’s always something happening. We're snake bit.”

LOL, Melo's been spewing nonsense like this since the day he entered the NBA.

It's never his responsibility to get the team to the next level. Yet he's always the one hogging the ball. Darn those mysterious, Melo-hating snakes!

In Denver he played with a bunch of scrubs until they finally went out and got Billups after AI stunk and they made the WCF before losing to a better Lakers team. NY's just not that good of a team. No legit PG, weak defenders outside of Chandler (and yeah Melo's part of it). What do you expect? Then bonehead Amare punches himself out of the series.

I think that's their biggest problem. While Baron Davis and Mike Bibby themselves are legit point guards, but at this stage of their career, they're not offering much. :???:

I don't know if this belongs in a NBA thread, or the "epic fail" thread:

Amar'e Stoudemire is out for Game 3 and possibly the rest of the series after getting owned by the fire extinguisher glass.

What kind of ACL graft did Derrick Rose go with? He was able to put weight on the repaired knee already to present the game ball.

Or is he still waiting for the inflammation to go down, and he braced up the leg to prevent further damage to the surrounding structures?

The Spurs lighting it up again, I see!

All the starters in double figures and 35 bench points so far.

Watching Celtics/Hawks, I think Hawks should run their offense through Tracy McGrady. He's another one of those nightmare matchup. McGrady is still an offensive weapon and he makes better decision than Joe Johnson. Not to mention when the Hawks run the offense through McGrady, they have far better ball movement. He can create for himself, and unlike Joe Johnson, he can suck in the defense and makes GREAT passes to the open man.

He's not wearing any sleeves/braces on his knees, looks like they feel good again!

With Joe Johnson, he's a ball stopper. He dribbles the ball for like 10 seconds, and put up a fadaway.

Nuggets win game 3 vrs the Lakers by 15 points. Great execution and energy today, was nice to see. Took the Lakers out of their comfort zone completely

LOL what execution? They just out-ran the Lakers. :)

Even George Karl said in a time out: "Let's just play basketball, we're not running any plays!"
