Federer Seeding at Wimbledon 2012

As Wimbledon uses his own seeding system on the basis of past 2 yrs grass tournaments rslts.

I know there is formula to calculate ranking points but don't know exactly.

Roger performance in last 2 yrs. grass tournaments is not great and based on performance Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Berdych & Tsonga all are ahead of him so what would be the Roger seed at this year Wimbledon??

If it will be out of top 4 then draw could be tricky for him :(

Isn't the formula

(Ranking Points) + (Grass ranking points from last 12 months) + .75 (Grass ranking points from the season before) ?

I think Tsonga and Berdych are not going to overtake him. Impossible. They are both about 5000 ranking points behind Federer.

I think Murray can potentially replace him at number 3 if things work out for him

Does ranking points include???

I doubt that but not sure.

He won't be out of the top 4, don't worry about it, and even if he was, they'd make up an excuse, perhaps the fact that he has won so much there, as to why he wasn't dropping out of the top 4.

He'll be seeded #3, no suspense here. The only change I could possibly envision would be for him to win RG while Nadal gets defeated in the quarters by Almagro (and who is going to believe that? lol). In this case, he would be #2. Otherwise, #3 it is.

Edit: actually, he could probably end up seeded #4 should he lose to Del Potro and Murray wins RG--but who is going to believe *that*? ;)

He should be seeded N°1 each time he plays as a mark of respect of his superior tennis level.
He's the prince of tennis

Hmmm.. Last 2 years Murray's grass court perf. is better no doubt. Winning at Queens, plus SF at Wimbledon whereas Fed didn't win Halle and QF at W.

Will this gap be enough to overtake Fed and be seeded #3. But even then, what diff does it make.

I hope he will become 2nd seed at RG. If Rafa loses in final, he will lose 800 points, that may help Roger

I wonder if Federer will finish his career with a 1st Round exit from Wimbledon. Federer has lost in the 1st Round of Wimbledon, 3 times. It will represent him going full circle if he ends his career this way.

I think he will be seeded 3, but 3 or 4 is there any difference as far as the draw goes the reality is not really.

Why do you post this nonsense? He won his first Slam at Wimbledon, after losing his first Slam at Wimbledon, the year after a first round exit. Full circle would be to win Wimbledon, no? Then next year, 1st round ext.

Other full circle: He lost the Sydney Olympics, but won Mirka. Now maybe he wins in London, but loses Mirka?

Why do you only come up with garbage about Federer? There are a million full circles you can think of with Federer winning even more. He had 10 grandslams in 2010, it would be full circle if he had 100 in 2100.

There is nothing wrong with retiring a loser. It's humbling, and being humble is good. Maybe a 1st Round exit at Wimbledon is just what Federer needs to achieve humility. There is no more appropriate circle than this.

He has six Wimbledon titles. Something that Rafa will NOT achieve in this lifetime. Six titles in the hallowed grass of Wimbledon, IMPOSSIBLE for Rafa :)

Yeah, Nadal busting his knees might be humbling too, and it would be full circle in many ways. Maybe 10 MTO's in his last match as well. Geez, what is wrong with you. Would it be so bad for tennis if the current holder of probably the most important record in the modern tennisgame, goes out on a high?>

I estimate Nadal to finish with 5 Wimbledon titles (this year I think will be his 3rd). So you are probably right.
