Most memorable I've seen live: Hendrix doing the Star Spangled Banner at midnight July 3/July 4, 1970!
You saw Hendrix perform?

I must say that I'm very gladly supprised about the tracks you have mentioned here! Every track has been good or brilliant.
"Dream theater instrumedley" consisted partly of their "Erotomania" which came to my mind as a first suggestion. Instrumentals by Focus, Crimso, Weather report, Pink Floyd and Rush are also my alltime favorites! I'd like to add Sky's 'Scipio' to the list of greatest instrumentals ('Toccata' would be maybe even better, but I prefer now their own composition) and National healths 'Squarer for maud'. The last mentioned is pretty challenging stuff -not for the fans of easy listening-material.
The Allman Brothers Band...In Memory of Elizabeth Read! Live with Duane still alive, this band was incredible to watch, very up close as I worked show crew three times for them in Tallahassee, FL during the early 70's.

Peaches en Regalia - Frank Zappa
We sure have similar taste in music with RP! Caravan's 'Nine feet underground' I think is a masterpiece (little singing on it, but enough to make it non-instrumental) but most of the other stuff I don't like that much... rather simple and silly for prog, I think!
Fusion jazz. If we're going to count that, we have to throw in early Mahavishnu Orchestra, and that just wouldn't be fair.

Your youtube entry (Wire) is not an instrumental. Let me explain to you what an "instrumental" is: an 'instrumental' is a song containing no vocals, be it sung, or rapped, or whatever.
No-ooooo vocals.
You posted an "unstrumental" 'cause you are mental.
chrischris is ******** !!!
How 'bout some Steve Morse, as well?
