Murray is more naturally talented than Djokovic, but Djokovic is mentally stronger

That is the impression I have gotten from watching their matches against eachother. Murray has a bit of genius in him but I don't see any genius in Djokovic's game. Murray's problem has always been his mind and it can affect his whole game, but he seems to be much stronger mentally this year and the Olympics will no doubt have given him the confidence.

So taking into account Murray's improved mental game, and superior natural talent, I think he will beat Djokovic in 4 sets tommorow to win his first grand slam title.

Yes i agree with that murray is much more naturally talented than Djokovic even Federer said that when he lost to him in dubai in 2008 But Djokovic is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more mentally stronger and thats why he always bests him!

They are both extremely talented. Murray may have a couple more shots in the tool kit but Djokovic is supremely talented at what he does - being dominate from the baseline. I would agree that mentally he's stronger than Murray but Andy has gotten better in that area under Lendl.

I don't agree. What's the definition of talent?? Djokovic's groundstrokes are better for me. They both defend great. Murray's serve is a bit better, but not by a big difference. Both rarely go to the net. I think Djokovic is a better player besides his mentality.

Murray has a better tactical mind and better variety. Novak has the better instincts and ground game.

Novak knows when to hit the right shots an understands passiveness won't work.

Murray sometime overthinks things, get too negative and plays passive.

talented overall has more variety not just on the forehand

So I guess Fabrice Santoro is better than both of them since "variety" in shot selection is how we measure talent.

Speaking of which, the Harlem Globetrotters must be the greatest basketball players ever, too.

All that matters is that Murray owns Federer, Djokovic owns Murray and Nadal owns them all.

You must be joking if you think Nadal owns Djokovic. Djokovic completely owned Nadal last year and also beat him at the Australian Open this year. Nadal has beaten Djokovic a few times on clay since then including the French Open final, but overall on hardcourts and grasscourt Djokovic still owns Nadal. Djokovic is the reason that Nadal has 11 slams right now and not 14 slams. He beat Nadal in 7 consecutive finals including 3 consecutive grand slam finals. That is what I call ownage.

Djokovic is physically stronger, the mental part could come from growing up in a developing country (2nd world if one need be exact).

Djokovic is a better ball striker but I think one area where Murray > Djoker is the slice backhand. Murray is also a bit better around the net

I find it very important to know who is more talented and mentally stronger.

Because, clearly, who playes better, and is "mentally" stronger and wins in THE match for the title tomorrow is irrrelevant and predefined by the talent ratio and previous mental strength.
