I just sent out email to the usual suspects if any of them is going to play Sunday afternoon.

Let me see how many real tennis fans are out there who will skip Superbowl and show up.

A real tennis player would watch the SB if only to see strategy applied, toughness, resilence, boldness, and timidness of the team and various players.

i'm looking to play at one and then head over and watch jolly's dubs match for the drama possible something spectacular to happen...but will be home to watch sb.

I"m not hitting because my school's women's team is using the courts at that time. But I will be going to the gym and working out, as the weather in Tucson should be kick-ass this weekend and I don't want to spend it inside watching football. Though I will try to catch some of the game if it's close.

It has nothing to do with the football, it is about beer, wings, nachos, chili, and peeling the paint off the walls of your bathroom the next morning.

For us on the 'right' coast, the game doesn't start until 6:30PM. Local club closes at 6.

However, I'm planning on playing at 3, then go watch the game. Does that make me a real tennis player?

My club has a nice big screen TV, bar and couches surrounding a fireplace with a nice view of the courts. I might play tennis or squash, then go to the clubhouse for beers and football. I prefer playing in the morning anyway.

I don't drive much. I am a member of a club near 56 and 15. Also, I am taking my son someplace from 9 to 12, and hope to be at the club by 2. I have 3 others lined up already since yesterday.

Not to mention watching Kate Upton in a Mercedes Benz... and the other commercials - the only, other than the men's major finals, not to DVR and ff thru commercials.

Real players get up and play early. Before the hit and gigglers show up.

I love Super bowl Sunday...local tennis club is frustrated by lack of booked courts, so cheap deals every year to those willing to skip that boring ass game!!!!

I will be firmly planted on my couch with all the necessary accompaniments. Chips, dip, Dos Equis watching all 12 hours of Super Bowl coverage. Then my only hope is that the game will be tight into the 4th quarter. Rec tennis can wait till Monday night for a makeup match.
