I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet but today via twitter the bird man mentioned his H&M line launches tomorrow at select retailers and online!

Berdych is a good looking guy, he actually looks swedish.

I've just been looking on the UK H&M Site, and it's pretty expensive, £24.99 just for shorts, £19.99 for the shirt, £7.99 for the cap

I personally can't stand UniQlo or H&M.
The H&M stuff especially looks like garbage.

I was used to Berdych in Nike.... H&M just doesn't suit him.

His grey "B" shirt looks ridiculous IMO. But at least they can price their clothing realistically. "Functional Fabric" LOL

His line looks cooler than the Uniqlo stuff imo. Simple but modern styling. No surprises, the general fashion lines that H&M do are also generally more modern and stylish than Uniqlo's.

If that's the one he is wearing in Bercy, it's hideous.

lol you can say that again. Looks very early 1990s w/the red striped socks and very europeanish look overall. I just can't see myself liking that style. His old nike stuff looked way better on him.

I don't like HM set much - too conservative. Uniqlo is fine to me, it has some ideas behind (colouring by slams colours etc). Nike is just dull

H&M (won't be surprise if ZARA follows) is not treading the usual Addidas and Nike way. UNIQLO is like an expanded YONEX line imo. Won't be surprise too if Chevignon gives it a try.:)

H&M stuff doesn't just look like garbage, the quality is garbage too. They are cheap disposable clothes that are only meant to last for one trend/season and will fall apart in the wash. If Uniqlo is like the Japanese equivalent of the Gap, I'd put H&M a notch below Old Navy. At least with their fashion lines they offer slimmer cuts and trendy looks, but as for the styling on the Berdych line I'd rather buy the C9 line from Target.

The bottom line is what counts here. The cheaper the labor and the less payed to clean up , the more the comapny makes in the short term.. but its whats known as uneconomic growth by some that argue it has a lot of cost that younger people will have to carry. Hmm..

Not sure why some compare this to UNIQLO. And those that do are very subjective...
UNIQLO in person is beautiful and a great quality. Would definitely pay $50 per top/short over $60+ for (my favorite) adidas or Nike. The UNIQLO long pants at $50 are 3 levels above any adidas and Nike pants at almost 2x the price.

I am not sure of the quality of HM, however, the looks do not attract me at all. Possibly because Berdych is one of the least likable players IMO.

having the letter "B" on your chest is worse than "RF" on your shirt.
unless your first name/last name begins with a "B", or your initials are "RF", why would you wear an RF or a B shirt???? it's so stupid.

Same reason why players purchase modern frames because the pros are endorsing it.

the H&M stuff looks horrible...
The problem I have with the Djoker gear is it looks like group callisthenics tracksuits recycled from 1980s Japan. That sort of styling has been the bog-standard school/team sports uniform in Japan forever. To me it feels like they've clearly gone for the "stick with the expected" tone to cater to the Japanese market, not to achieve anything in a modern fashion-sense.

H&M do plenty good stuff which is easy to buy because it's cheap and done in lots of colour variations - I often pick up a stack of plain t-shirts and whatnot when I go there simply because of the variety. They're cheap enough it doesn't bother me if they're not the highest quality since I'll be buying more in less than a year anyway.

I'm surprised anybody would want to be associated with this low life...Not a player you would want your kids to look up to.

+1

I think H&M's image conscious decision makers just thought Berdych fit the mold of a strapping fit example of Aryan good looks, nothing else. They'd rather he be modelling the clothes than, say, Stepanek.

the navy shorts with maroon blocking look really current in my opinion. nike has been playing the light gray light blue variant combo all year, even for winter. this fills the gap IMO

Don't like his clothes, and what he's wearing at the WTF is no exception.

His cap in particular looked like what the Empire officers wore in Star Wars.

At least Nike does a better job of stylizing Federer's initials. A lot better than just slapping a "B" in Arial font on a shirt. The RF logo (imo) transmits a feeling of grace and etiquette (?) whereas Berdych's "B" shirt is lifeless and bland. And yes I'm biased towards Federer's line but that's what I think.

Strapping good looks :) hahaha...Its more of image these days than anything as opposed to the personal integrity of the player. Its good to know that the top 4 are really good natured guys.

grace and etiquette? you mean, "wannabe" and "pretense"

I was looking forward to this a while back...but not liking the collection. The "b" looks pretty stupid. Definitely disappointing.

Why does this guy always wear a freaking hat even indoors (no sun!). Don't like his H&M clothing but that's his thing to wear, that's his problem not mine. lol

Care to elaborate on that?
(I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, just want to have the facts, that's all...)

What did Berdych do to be considered a 'low life'?

He once shushed the crowd and once didn't shake Almagro's hand. Because of those 2 incidents in his 10+ years long tennis career he is now officially a bad person and is presumed to spend his free time abusing kittens.
