downs, swerve, paulman sighting last night. lots of demos.
downs may or may not have settled down with the pontiac aztek of tennis racquets: prokennex ionic 5 315.
it's ugly but i hit with it and it has amazing comfort, good pop, good spin, good control. it's like a stick of butter.
also got to hit with swerve's wilson 95S. it took me 5 shots to decide i didn't like it. good sweet spot, good spin. flimsy and not buttery in the slightest.
pacific xfeel tour was low powered, middling spin, great control. but it felt great. easy to swing quickly.
my graphene speed mp's have so far been decent. it needs a lot more weight in the hoop. but even stock it's not terrible. great for serves and overheads though.

i'll admit it...i publicly love this racquet now...i have zero expectations for it, but the frame is soo money...even with the prince syn gut clone that's in the demo, or the poly in the one i bought -- they both feel great! now, i haven't played a match with it yet, so we'll see what happens tonight when i play mixed...
with all that said...i'm hungry...what's for lunch?

it's a sweet stick. i recommend you cut out the strings. take out the grommets and grip. then sandblast the funk out of it and repaint that one matte black. maybe some menacing hints of red around the hoop too. get some decals and rename that racquet the CD 315i.
haha it's not pontiac aztek fugly but matte black would be SWEET! :shock:

I had the Q5 315. brought it out in the last outing with skriker and monkey. it has ebu spin, good plow and power. couldnt get used the feel. maybe the Q5 has less feel. I had a kI15 pse as well. really dig the.stick as it has plenty heft. just got tired after 1 hr play.

isn't the PSE one, like 40 oz??? haha, those specs looked WAY too heavy for a normal human being...the ki 5 315, actually lined up with my pure storm tour plus chopped frame -- in terms of specs...definitely glad i tried it...
Q5 315 looks to be similar to Ki5 but MUCH stiffer specs...

the stick was felt like hurling a Olympic discus every time I swung with it. stable as heck and plows like a snow thrower but hurling a freight train takes a toll very quickly.
actually one of the few sticks played with no lead. lol!
was thinking about it as a kinder and gentler pdr replacement. didn't really work out that way...

i can confirm that i tried the graphene radical mp. i only hit maybe a dozen groundies with it. i gave it back to swerve because i liked it too much. buttery, great pop, great spin. it's a fantastic stick. makes me really wanna try the graphene radical pro now.
i can also confirm that i have corrupted the swerve who already has the title of best 3.0 i've ever seen. but now with 20% more monkey slice.

I have gotten my hands on the Pro demo...I will bring the Rad Pro to our next Endor hit and will once again make you question your racquet choice :twisted: you were hitting silly monkey slices with that Speed though.

graphene rads are softer and more whippy feeling. i likes em. graphene speed mp's i had to add leather, overgrip and lead all around the hoop to make it stable enough to handle the downs, paulman and swerves of the hard hitting tennis world.

i was tempted to pick up a few of those pro kennex kinetic ionic platonic sticks you like except that:
1 - i can't like the same racquet downs is rocking.
2 - it's a pro kennex.
3 - it has a super unsexy name.
4 - it plays great but the paint job is a big bag of meh.
5 - it's a pro kennex which is like the pontiac of the tennis racquet world.

new rad pro is very stiff with very thin throat. kind of strange. my demo was strung with full multi but i think it would be much better with poly cuz it has a lot of power. speed pro was a little faster swinging and more comfortable
