The bag is actually nicer than I thought. The materials are nice and the size is great because it isn't too big or too small. If I have to list a con, I would say that it doesn't keep shape quite as well as the Aero 12 pack bag that I previously used. The sides collapse after you use it with the backpack straps. There also isn't a thermal pocket, which isn't a huge deal but seems to be a standard feature for a top of the line bag from a manufacturer. Overall, very happy with it so far.

thats good to hear. bags are crazy expensive now

Your leather grips are installed in kind of a weird way. Interested to hear what benefit you get from 'em.

Sorry I missed your question. The leather is wrapped so it barely overlaps itself making the ridges as large as possible. That way when I wrap the overgrip, the overlap falls into the ridges making for the smooth surface I prefer. It's just a personal preference.

Interesting Setup. How did you raise the butt up? How much weight did it add?

For now the raised butt is just wrapping the overgrip around the butt cap and and saving enough to cover the leather for one hand. So the weight is no different but it changes the balance just slightly. What I've done to my friend's racquets is cut a build up sleeve into three pieces and shrink them over the butt cap and trim the first two to cover only the butt cap then the third goes up the handle a bit to smooth out the transition when wrapping the base grip.

I'm ashamed to say that I didn't weigh his racquets when I was done.

Finally got round to collecting all the sticks & shoes together. Some of these frames will be up for sale soon, UK only I'm afraid. Details to come soon.

The Slazengers are lovely sticks! Very similar to the Pro Staff Classic but lighter & bit more flexible, suited my game perfect. The Barricade II's are my favourite pair of shoes, so comfy. As for Henman, not a fan as such as i met him a few times when they used to hold the UK National Championships at Telford near to where I live and I used to take the week off from my normal job to work at the tournament. Got to meet a lot of the British players from the 90's, early 2000's. Rusedski was the best as he had so much time for everyone, all fans, the kids etc. We had to tell him to get off the court as the next match wanted to start but he wouldn't go until every last kid had gotten an autograph. Lovely bloke. Henman, not so much.

I can understand why that would sour your opinion of Tiger Tim. I've always been a fan myself, and loved his classic Adidas lines, including the Barricade IIs.

Cheers.

I have a friend who knows Rosol quite well and so he got into the VIP area of the Davis Cup final. The first thing he said when he came back: "Berdych is the biggest ***hole I have ever met".

That doesn't come as a surprise to me.

I wouldn't go so far as to call him an a**hole as the other poster says about Berdych, but it's once you see what these 'celebrities' are really like once the cameras aren't on them, and out of sight of the public (and their fans), you see a side you don't expect. I liked the racquets Henman used and I loved the look of the Barricade II's, that black/blue stripe down the middle of the front of the shoe is an awesome piece of design BY ADIDAS, nothing to do with Tim at all. i think the Barricade as a shoe is one of the best tennis shoes ever made, in performance, quality, and design. The odd downer (I'm looking at you Barricade III, even though i have a pair) but generally very very good. I buy my equipment & clothing based on performance & design, not by which pro uses it.
Thanks for your input though, good to have a sensible discussion with someone!

I thought I would share my humble collection. I'm getting rid of it all soon, if I can decide on a new racket, so I thought I would share. The ProKennex has been my main stick, but it's not doing it for me any more, it's a 105 head, which is way to big for me now that my stroke has improved. I've been hitting with the 90 and enjoying it, but I want to try the new Pro Staff 95 and 6.1, and maybe the Steam 99...

Two of those things are rarities, or relics if you like :)

what is that white one?

It's a Nassau 'Target', whatever that is. It's a Korean sports company, but I haven't found anything online about this racket. I bought it for a couple dollars on a Korean craigslist type website, I liked the white aesthetics. I think it's modeled on an old pro staff, I know it was made in the 80's. It's heavy with good plow.

Last racquet i buy was a youtek radical MP (2) in 2009..

I hope i will improve my game with this one.. I needed a heavier radical. And of course, a radical with more control for my groundstrokes

And of course the tourna grip.. The best overgrip i've ever had. Great feel. And the durability is just too good.

Interesting that you didn't think you had enough control with the YouTek MP, I thought that was very low powered. With that said, my opinions are just my own, and what's really important is that you have fun with your new racquet!

If you didn't have enough control with the YouTek Radical MP, you probably should have looked at the Prestiges, but whatever.

I mean i had control, but i need more, . The youtek mp was a great racquet for me.

No disrespect but, Graphene Radical is kind of like a (more control oriented) Pure Drive now with its thicker beam... Its 16 x 19 (which generally gives you more power, less control)

I personally don't see you gaining more control making the switch but hey! Good luck with your new racquet

Very nice pictures, seems like an excellent camera you have and the resolution maintained well thru the resize.

I bet you're the most interesting tennis player in the world!:)

Most "interesting," doubtful... perhaps most eccentric. When I show up to league matches with my gear and retro apparel the most common question I get is, "So, where's the time machine?" Then I pull out the white Wilson tennis balls and things get really weird...
