That's not that much, most guys layer the lead tape so there's more than it looks like.
dr325i, how's it going? You coming back here any time soon?
I'd love to move back or at least visit...
No plans as of now, unfortunately...
gonna try that.
Also look the distance between last cross string and the frame and compare with a retail Speed Pro racquet.
Not the same!!!!!
That's why his racquet has a swingweight of 371. Hard to get it that high without putting lead tape all over the hoop.oh wait, theres more. more lead tape under the bumper guard too.

copying their leadtape set up wont always work for everybody.

Starting SW is already about 340 kg*cm^2 on his frames.

How in the world do you know his frames' "starting" SW?
Exactly! Djokovic uses a custom paintjob so how would anyone know what the starting swingweight is?

My man, A!
Good stuff.
So, the PT113 is the mold engineering code (obviously from an old Radical MP mold, not TGK231.x which is MG), layup B which is about 60RA
And as suspected, the production is in China...
Actually, it says "B1" so it could be a different flex.My man, A!

How would ANYONE know that??
Right, they erase the memory of those that had a miracle first hand view of his racket...
Also, how do YOU know Djokovic uses a "custom" PJ, instead of customized (by silicone and lead) Radical MP painted whatever...
So are you saying that you measured these yourself?
If not:
1. How can 340 be a strung spec when these are just hairpins?
2. Where does it say 340?
3. How do we know these are actually Djokovic's racquets?
4. I thought pro stock frames were supposed to be lighter out of the mold than retail frames before adding lead tape?
Because he uses a Liquid Metal Radical MP without the ridges so it must be a custom mold.
But he never said that he was the one who took that picture, did he?For the love of God.... the picture shows to us that he has access to his rackets even before they get customized and strung, not the exact time that are been measured. Damn...
So then you do agree that he uses a custom racquet, which is what I stated earlier. That mold without ridges is shared with other (later) molds, therefore, he may not be using the PARTICULAR LM custom mold...

but why does he use such a "primitive" lead setup if it is a custom frame? wouldn't there be more elegant methods to add weight on a custom frame than putting on lead tape?
So how do you get rid of the ridges on the LM Radical mold without changing the retail mold? Its NOT a custom mold. The the Ti. Radical and i.Radical are custom as well.............................

Yes, I took the photo.
If you want to PM me and ask me nicely, I'll answer your other questions as well. Otherwise, it sounds like you're just trying to argue for the sake of argument,
Not sure if that was the reason for discontinuing the KPS88 since Wilson discontinues just about every racquet model after two years these days. The KPS88 is in very high demand on the used market. This is the approach that Wilson used with the K90 and KPS88 - make the base frame heavy in being closer to what the pros actually use. The KPS88 didn't sell well and was discontinued after two years. The K90 was popular because Fed used it but I think that a lot of players found that they couldn't use it effectively. And even Federer himself is moving on.
That doesn't mean that it's not custom. "Custom" just means that it's not available at retail. If EVERY Head sponsored pro used this mold, it would still be a custom mold since I could never at any point in time walk into a store and buy this exact same frame.Nope there are other guys out there that use that racquet.

You're the one who claimed over the years that Djokovic uses a LM Radical MP but without the ridges. So how do you get rid of the ridges on the LM Radical without changing the mold?Reread my post!
With the exact same layup, flex, balance, weight distribution, static weight, and swingweight as the hairpin that Djokovic uses? I don't think so.But you could buy this mold at one time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You just dont get it!!!

Were not Tim Henman's Slazenger and Mardy Fish's Dunlop also custom molds, since they were essentially Wilson PS 6.1 Classics but without the PWS?

If Lefty78 is correct, it has a SW of 340 stock.
OK, thanks for clarifying that.Yes, I took the photo.

Of course I do. I just don't recall a Radical MP sold at retail without having any ridges that had a stock swingweight of 340. If you do, please enlighten us.Do you know the difference between MOLD and layup? I don't think so
Well, that could also be because Sampras switched to a Babolat so he was not even endorsing nor using his own signature frame anymore. :shock:They usually come out with a new model of the frames that are doing well. They didn't do that with the KPS88.
