Just in the market for a tennis racquet vibration dampener and was wondering what tour pro uses a vibration dampener and what type or design model. I like to know the brand too if you know. Thanks.

Agassi used a rubber band. Sampras used an O-ring that's usually used to seal pipes. Tourna used to sell the one of Pete but people were saying you could buy it much cheaper in a hardware store
The rubber band is great since they're very cheap (just get some in a stationery store) and you can play around with thickness, length, how many strings you cover etc. Andre's was quite long but was wrapped only around the two center mains.

The round, button damps are the most common on tour. With whatever emblem the player thinks is neat.

It smaller then the Luxilion violet dampeners. It would be perfect for the 18 X 20 frames. The oversized Luxilion was to big for the UT!

Friend of mine has two kids that play tournaments (one's 10, plays 12's and 14's, other is 7, plays 10's). I buy them all kinds of dampeners - funny ones, branded ones - because they like to trade them with the other kids. They're always showing us what they just traded for.
You can buy all kinds on Amazon - animals, funny faces, etc.
That's about the limit of my interest in dampeners!

I am thinking of painting my Luxilion violet dampener to blend into my black strings. I think it would looks great in satin black. Both the strings and dampener having the same color will make it look covert militaristic special forces jame bondish look/appeal to the hitting area.

Metal is not the same as highest quality Luxilion dampener! Not sure want it is made of however! It is made to dampen string vibrations, so it got be be better! Cost more to! I try to get the very best for my arm and my game!

Finally, got to hit with the Luxillon damperer on my UT. It was fantastic combination. I like it a lot! Highly recommend this violet color "O" design damperer! Works great with NXT 17 gauge string. Strung at 44 lbs.

Yea I don't know if it makes that much of a difference. It just kinda looks cool but i got tired of the lux dampener. Im going no dampener raw feel. Dampeners don't do anything for your arm, all they do is change the sound at contact. If you really want to save your arm then workout your upper body and lower string tension, switch to a multifilament or gut, and try to find a racquet with low flex.

It only cost you about $5 for two Luxilion violet "O". vibration dampener if you buy it from TW. Just include it in your next bundle order. I think it makes a difference, however. If you don't like them, you could always give them away to you friend, someone that you like or somebody you want to impress! Just say: "Gael Monfil endorses and uses this Luxilion string dampener!"
