Videos don't say a thing, they show things.

Turn up the volume if you didn't hear anything!

Seriously though if anyone is interested in creating a top 10/n list as a combined effort, chime in. We can work it out in a private thread and publish results periodically.

haha i can't believe i'm even mentioned in this thread @FiReFTW ; I have lost badly to people who have been double bageled by other people that actually belong on this list (Fangda)

TopspinShot with his forehand that seems to make a trip around the world before brushing the ball? Wow, is his serve that was awesome?

his serve was really good. on par with jolly imo. made it hard for me to break him at the time.

How did the forehand work? It looks very unorthodox...

extreme western grip, heavy topspin, very loopy. it’s effective.
but he can slice the fh back, of I tried to attack by slicing to the western grip.
I think we played twice... like 90m for 1 set (before we ran out of time), beat me both times. was a good battle.

I guarantee you feddaddy would **** on me, that guy hits so smooth and I wanted to hit like him the very first day I ever watched him play.

Lol at jch being nr1

I see your point - you have contributed a lot for updating the rankings. I'm sure you know it's not easy to compile one - but if someone is okay to look 'really smart' to take a first stab at creating a list, i'll take it.
Who is your number 1?

Personally, I'd move TopspinShot and meltphace up toward Jolly, put in tennisballa at #1, bump me out and install Saul Goode somewhere in there. I don't even know who jch is but I guess he's pretty good. Oh yeah, Moz would be up there near the top as well... and the kid from Argentina, for sure (forgot his name, possibly should be #1).

jch is the inertial guy from poland or something, the professor that preached about inertial tennis lol, he is not even top 10 imo.

Oh, ok, right. I remember that guy... he "looked" quite decent, but... no, I wouldn't put him in the top-10 without knowing any actual results. With a convincing win over the Polish Diamond, maybe...

Who is your number 1?
#1 Jason Jung
#2 Filip Peliwo

Both won their matches today at the Newport Beach challengers. Both are members on the board. Don’t think anyone else here could beat these 2 based on their current level of play.

Well, based on my video, I don’t merit much of anything. I’d be delighted to hit with any of you guys, though!

Yes but the OP somehow has some strict rule for this silly list of his where only posters who posted their own playing vid in the past year of 2018 count.

I see where you are swinging with this. TTW ranking is more valuable than what's published by the ATP tour. It's unfair or silly if they are excluded from our coveted list.

On the bright side, I've cleaned up my forehand since then. On the downside, I'm a year and a half out of playing college and haven't played a three-setter in forever. But if anybody on the list or who wants to be on the list happens to be in the DC area, I'd be happy to play.

I'll be your huckleberry.
I was #8 on the original list which is considered by many experts to be the definitive list.

Are you entering the competition in the video category or word(audio) category? Make up your mind - if it's going to take this long for you, definitely I would not approach the net for volleys if I were you.

Actually here's a video with the word

Why did someone rake off the "white clay" from just the lines?

Is that a church behind the rightmost house? (a tower like structure in the woods)
Gotta see the lines to play. Not sure of structure, might be where they put the camera for recorded play

It's a video submission with audio where you can hear the word

Hey guys! Good to see some of you are still active and doing well. I moved to the Chicago area recently. I haven't been playing or training close to what I used to for the last 2 years or so... having a tough knee surgery and getting married will do that to you haha. But I do finally feel good now and am planning to go pretty hard for 2019. I actually turn 35 this year, so besides playing some open money tournaments I am definitely going to do the 35's nationals and the world championship since it is in Miami. I am just hoping to have some nostalgia doing what I used to do and try to find some good form again, but it can be frustrating not being at the same level at the moment.

Want to say a special hello to BounceHit, he is a great guy and really enjoyed our meeting and hit several years ago. There were several people here that I have not met but I really appreciated their kind words and support. Hope everyone is doing well :)

Hey @TonLars,

Thank you for the kind words. It was truly a privilege to play with you in Minnesota all those years ago. [emoji462][emoji471][emoji462]

My wife’s best friend lives in Chicago so we travel there from time to time. Next trip I will be sure to reach out in advance and get us back on the court! [emoji41]

Congratulations on your marriage. I wish you all the best.

Best regards,

BHBH
