The Most Powerful Picture In Tennis History

Murray / Djoko have quite a few great matches. You can't expect them to play well and entertain you in all their matches.

Like-vs-like is the route to a boring tennis spectacle. I like watching Djokovic; I like watching Murray (when he isn't having a wholly unnecessary melt down) but Djokovic vs Murray being entertaining relied on Murray playing assertively (and well) enough to stop it becoming a "who blinks first" grind.

The female GOAT on the grass is Martina Navratilova, 9 singles Wimbledon titles.

Yeah, Martina's record compares pretty well with Margaret Smith-Court's

Margaret Smith-Court's Grass Court Record ...

19 Grand Slam Singes Titles.
14 Grand Slam Doubles Titles.
17 Grand Slam Mixed Doubles Titles.

Including a GRAND SLAM in 1970 where three of the four were on Grass Courts.

And Margaret won quite a few of them after she had children.

Why did it just rely on Murray?

Nah, Serena lucked out at Wimby 2015/2016.
If it wasn't for Sjogrens, Venus would definitely have more titles
Lucked out? Serena even went to more finals, even last year she was finalist , you are confusing with beautiful game with more achievement.

No im talking about highest level between them on a surface, and not titles. Venus was in the finals in 2017.
I know and she lost to the same person that serena defeated, so you can't say that the title was lucked out.
I agree on this that Venus brought higher level at Wimbledon but to call her queen of Grass over Serena is wrong.

You are forgetting Venus' illness too and injuries, she really should have taken 2009 Wimbledon. Both of them at their peaks on grass I think Venus was better
Well I like Venus so I am OK with it , but Peak performance should not be used to define Career, Serena beat Venus more time at Wimbledon, has more titles, more finals, I will go by overall Career. If there is a queen of grass and harcourt in modern era then it is Serena.
Peak Venus is better but by not much Serena peak is also near about great on grass.
Edit : She also won Gold medal by demolishing everybody in London Olympics in Wimbledon courts.

Agree. Serena is the queen of grass in the modern era. More Wimbledon titles, and has Olympic Singles Gold on it. Venus cannot be placed higher, she has two less titles.

People connect with different players and feel strongly about different things so it's always going to be subjective. There are quite a few tennis related moments that make me emotional, but I'm gonna go with this picture
Rafael%20Nadal%20%284%29.jpg

It captured an unusually calm, intimate moment for such a big occasion. With most other significant photos I feel happy, or proud, or sad for a player/players, I emphasize with how they feel. This one, Nadal's quiet reverence for his achievement makes me feel inspired to work harder to achieve my own dreams. Holding a dream in your hands, how does that feel?

The right answer.

God chose that story book like atmosphere for his coronation.

Everything about that match is became Mythical once the darkness settled in.

Hauntingly beautiful.

I always wonder how Xisca raected?

Speaking of Xisca's reactions, a journalist asked Rafa a question about appearing in Shakira's music video (in 2010): "How did you show the video to your girlfriend, because it's a pretty sexy video..."
Rafa replied: "No problem. That's part of the job."
