My rackets: 2 times yonex ezone dr 100 (poly tour pro 125 @ 26 kg), for slow days with heavy balls; 2 times vcore 95 (poly tour fire/babolat rpm blast @ 24 kg), when I feel the groove.
2 oldies from the time I played in my teens (have been out of tennis for 15 years until 4 years ago): Wilson sting ultra stretch 102 and Prince Avenger 107. The latter is now sheer unplayable for me, no control at all.

Those artengo dampeners work well with vibrations....

I’d consider myself an aggressive baseliner with a 2-handed backhand. What about you? Is the 95 still your main racquet?

Interesting. Giron uses the VCORE 95 but so does Shapo (SV version). Both backhand types can use it with no problem. Yeah, VCORE is my main b. Been using it for two years. I dabble with the Blade when bored.

Just a replug: these were couple of my 2001 Pure Control Swirlys I had done in matte black a few years ago. Beastly racquets. They off course do not pop as much as gloss. But look very clean too.

@MRfStop

These were single color. The APD above in the other post had additional colors hence they ran more. And then you have graphics price added (or any inscription in throat etc) on top offcourse. But yeah, petty satisfied overall. I just have to remember to stock back up on my grommets! Running low at the moment since I string often and go through them fast.
but why would you get rid of that paint job?! Pure control swirlies are beautiful!!!

Day 11

Took the Muscle Weaves out of the stash, unwrapped the grips, cleaned the sticks out, regripped with Head Tour leather and Head Super Comp overgrips. Restrung them too.

Only to put right back in the closet.

*sigh*

I am missing playing tennis so much, that I desperately try to stay in touch with them and try out new grips :D

First time ever, I will try a leather grip. I am missing on my new Blade 98 v7 the feel of the bevels and also I want the racket to be more HL.
I bought on Amazon OEHMS leather premium, which are even smelling like high quality when opening. The leather feels very soft and gentle when touching. Installing it was harder than I thought. At the beginning it startet to roll a bit so I had to pull harder, but eventually I think I did an OK job (in the middle I was tying once with too much overlap).

I also bought for the first time the very popular Tourna Overgrip (XL). I like the Wilson Pro OG a lot, but I needed 2 OG's on my Blade to prevent blisters. I am sure after this long abstinence of tennis my blisters will come back then.. even more so with leather now as the basic grip.
Any tips.. which OG is thicker, softer to skin? Wilson or Tourna? I am afraid two OG's now will shift balance too much and add to much added weight.

How much distance is required in your “social distancing”? I don’t recall last time I was within 15+ ft from my tennis opponent or the guy next court...

just read your next post :(
Hope the weather improves soon
No stopping for us in Dallas (except today - rain)

I miss down south so much sometimes! It is still indoor tennis up here in Northern Michigan right now. No chance we can play outside at least till end of next month.

If you like the Wilson Pro and want thicker you should try Tourna Mega Tac, it’s exactly what you’re looking for and lasts longer than Wilson Pro.

Found this old Slazenger Phantom Tour Kevlar Braided under the stairs, theres a lot of old stuff under there. Strung with a full bed of Duraflex and played a little kitchen tennis with it and feels great. 332 strung with that old rubber band on. Having this strung with Max Power at 50 and take it out on the courts when social distancing is relaxed - see how it really performs. Don't know the RA but felt like it flexed in throat a tad even in short court. Hope it turns out to be a gem.
