2 different tension in a racquet

Hi,
Can someone help me out and explain what are some of the advantages of having 2 different sets of string as a hybrid at 2 different tensions i am going to be using babolat origin mains 56, luxilon 4g in the crosses, 52, i love the pocketing feel of the multi, mixed with control and spin lux 4g, i appreciate any feedback

When you raise the tension of the softer string, relative to the stiffer string, you match the effective stiffness of it and make the string bed more consistent. 4G is pretty stiff, so I would string it at least 5 lbs. lower than Origin. Also, using a slippery poly on the crosses increases spin potential a great deal by allowing the mains to deflect more easily. With lower tension crosses even more so.

A shorter string at a lower tension will have the same stiffness as a longer string at a higher tension, if both the same.

If using different strings, a little more complex.

Thanks for your advice, when you say slippery cross does this mean the 4g is one of those or is there any other suggestions? This is a good combo?

I haven't ever used 4G but keep hearing about its stiffness, but for a cross string smooth slippery poly is best for spin. Just lower the poly tension further if its very stiff.

multi/syn gut always 4-5 lbs higher than poly regardless in mains or crosses
