I have my doubts in that. I do kinda think Koreans will win but U.S. can still get silver. No sweep of medals there. I guess you meant between the 1500, 1000 and relay though. Never know, those Canadiens don't seem real coordinated, they may run into a Korean. :)

I meant the Koreans will get the gold in the relay. US will probably get silver.
Those Canadians are just annoying.

You say the Canadians are annoying while praising the Koreans after a Korean was disqualified for illegally knocking a Canuck down? Interesting. I am waiting for the Canada vs. U.S. hockey tomorrow night as well as the mens and ladies curling.

Personally, I thought Celskie didn't do anything wrong, and that he was cost a shot at the finals because that Canadian grabbed him. Didn't get to see a real good shot of it so I may be wrong. GO USA IN HOCKEY!

No Korean was disqualified.

Oh, I thought he was. The Canadian was sent to the next round either way.

There were two moments. One where a Korean cut in front of a Canadian and then smacked him down with his arm because he thought the Canuck was too close (which he wouldn't have been if he hadn't been cut off). The second incident was when a Korean grabbed a Canadian's shoulder and pulled back (although the Canuck's skates still crossed the line first). I never saw a Canadian grab anyone.

I watched both live and in replays.

I'm not going to argue about this Claudius. I saw what I saw and listened to the commentary and the crowd reaction both following the push as well as the referee's ruling. Like I said, I will post the link as soon as it becomes available online.

There was certainly some tussling but no, the Koreans did not do anything major like smacking someone down. Yes, I would like to see some video of these races again. But from what I saw, nothing. I am usually annoyed with the Koreans because they win but today the Canadians were the worst. They really just got in the way. They messed up Apolo i which could have been an epic final between him and the two Koreans and than that Canadian grabbed Celskie which really ticked me off. I thought the Koreans were pretty clean today, no team skating or smacking. haha.

Alright then, I stand corrected on the pushing statement. I do remain constant with the grabbing one though. My apologies.

Just woke up to a pretty cool text from my dad, telling me about his night out with the GB sliding team :D He got to play with amy williams gold medal and swapped rooms with Adam Pengellie :)

land of the free and home of 'all'

He is the American (looks Korean)
Then again, when you think about it, he looks 'American' .....

....he's Black?...he/she looks American.....Asian?...again, 'American'.....Latin?....another 'American'....

"them Americans" come in all shapes, size and colors....which is pretty cool when you think about it.....

Honestly, what's the matter with you? JR Celskie is half Polish and half Filipino. I was simply saying he has a strong resemblance to the other Korean skaters.

Awesome!!!! She let him hold her medal!!!! :) I was rather surprised to learn that of the 7 medals Apolo Ohno has won only 2 of them are gold. Call me a "commie" but I want Canada's hockey team to win.

Wow US beats Canada in Hockey. Watched the last 2 periods w/ my roomates. Pretty intense. That 1 handed goal to seal it was epic. Great win US.

^^^Agree totally. What a game! Both teams were going all out from the first drop of the puck. GO USA!!!

On the Ovechkin hit (RP post): Seemed kinda questionable by Ovechkin. 100% clean and legal, but normally players try to avoid leveling legends of the game.....

I hope that hockey game is a preview of the Finals. That would be an amazing Final for the gold medal.

I thought Jagr retired-was surprised to see him playing. Also thought the hitting and fighting weren't allowed in the Olympics. Congrats to team USA.

His NHL days are over but he still plays professionally in a European league.

Thanks for the update. Don't know if any of you watched the ice dancers but I thought the Russians' Aboriginal/Maori/Haka costumes and dance were neat. My favorite was the Italian couple. As for Belbin & Agosto-she needs to take that hideous costume and toss it in the torch (no offense to the people she waas supposed to be representing).:)

Hey Canadians-congrats to your ice dance team for winning the gold last night. Whenever I'm in a bad mood I'll just think about their happy faces during the medal ceremony & I'll feel better.

They did an awesome job and you could see their joy when they were singing the Canadian Nat'l anthem, the country was one!

Thanks. :) That was a great moment for the athletes, the crowd and the country. Their performance was absolutely breathtaking. I heard quite a few male die hard hockey colleagues going on about it today at work which doesn't happen often.

Here is a skate from three years ago. What poetry on ice.

US-Canada for Finals . . . .

Looks like it's gonna be a US-Canada showdown.

Got surprised that Sweden lost to Slovakia. If Canada doesn't blunder, they'll easily advance to the finals.

Hope US makes it to the finals.

It would be an awesome match to watch . . . just before this great winter olympics in Vancouver ends.
