Dudeeees whats going on????

RAFA decided to unleash his forehand DTL and, as we all know, nobody in the history of tennis has been able to win a point against him once he's decided to do that. He was just being as smart and humble as always by allowing Querrey to win a few games early on.

Something is weird.

He is not teeing off on Nadals midget serve and sometimes he skips the topspin and just let the ball fly out several feet.

Again, a strange creature this.

I know. Nadal is not playing well. If he focused well enough and continued his game, he could have had the 1st set.
What's up with these 23-28 year olds of this generation. The Dimitrovs and Janowicz' etc are all mental

Yes, he should have won the 1st set. The same happens to many against Djokovic, like last year when Dolgo had him on the ropes but just gave the 2nd set away in the end.

IKR. ?. As I said the 23-27 year olds of this generation lacks That Champions' Mentality.
Dimitrov, Gulbis, Janowicz, Tomic and on and on. Disappointing

Yes, and as much as I like Dolgo, he's one of the worst in that regard. Of course he's also got that Gilbert syndrome that's holding him back physically, but anyway...

pretty big change for Nadal, sliding over to serve on the ad side...but stays in same position on the deuce...seemed to work well, he's never had that really biting top of the line serve out wide there...good overall, very good at times, but not like Mac or some other lefties...can get the angle easier now

probably would be worth a try on the deuce side as well, can find Novak and Andy's forehand returns better, make them a little more honest...and the other righty two-handers looking to pounce

also be interesting if playing a lefty he moves back to the middle on the ad side

Oh stop complaining. Even when playing mediocre he won 4 and 2 ;)

Against Querrey on clay anything more than 1 and 1 is a disgrace for KOC ;)

He's got time to turn it up and getting out of that situation in the 1st set will give him some confidence.

Rafa didn't look that great but Sam doesn't give you much rhythm. With his big serve, he can always win 3-4 games a set even against the very best.

Actually Rafa's first straight set win against Querrey, so this must be peak Rafa.;)

Cushy draw for Rafa. I wonder if he'll get his pigeon bird to top it off before the big showdown :D

Who are in Nadal's path to the final ? The draw seems way too cushy for him and it could backfire a bit leaving him unprepared for the final if (and that is a big IF) Djoko does make the final unscathed by Nishi/Kyrgios et al

If he makes it to the semis, it would be against Murray/Berdych.

The former would be good preparation for Djoko, the latter not so much.
