Shame on me for not creating this Thread earlier.

So, this is one of the Matches I was really looking forward to see this week (although I didn't really count on it to be honest). Dimitrov has been a bit of a human roller-coaster this year, while Lopez fell under the radar just to jump out in time for the Grass Swing. But he's turning 36 in September and just comes from a Final loss and wins over the likes of Wawrinka and Berdych, the Match against the latter having lasted nearly two hours and a half - will he be able to keep it up?

Dimitrov is leading the Head-To-Head by 2-1, but they're 1-1 on Grass, both encounters being held at the Queen's Club (in 2010 Lopez won their R32 meeting by 6-2 6-4, while Dimitrov defeated the Spaniard in the 2014 Final with the interesting score of 6(8)-7 7-6(1) 7-6(6), which makes me wonder: how do I write superscript on this Site, since the BB Code [sup][/sup] doesn't seem to work?).

In all their three encounters, Lopez won the First Set. The last one is in fact from 2016 Cincinnati R2, where Dimitrov won by 5-7 6-3 7-6(6).

I can't really predict much, so may the best man win.

Will Lopez get his vengeance? He can. He lost their 2014 final very narrowly and I am not sure if Dimi has the kind of self belief now that he did then. Then again, with Dimi, you never know. Will be an interesting one.

For Lopez, the good news is the BerdPoo marathon was only the first one this week. He only ran out of gas last week at Stuttgart after three 3-set ordeals and almost pulled the final off vs Pouille.

The 2014 final really was a brilliant match. Lopez was volleying superbly and chocked on match point. Dimitrov dug deep. However I fear today Lopez may not have the legs after his match yesterday and being 36.

Anyone else remember Lopez having a bigger and flatter forehand in his younger days? His BH slice is best on the tour; he's one of the few that 'punches it' ala Graf.

Another rain delay. Queens is indeed the real pre-Wimbledon event!

Predicted Lopez in 3, but he may finish it in 2 from the way things are going. I just thought with the big serving working so well, he could do some damage here. Also, Dimitrov seems to struggle against big servers quite a bit. I wonder whom these rain delays will hurt most, but suspect it will be relatively more temperamental and less experienced Dimitrov that gets distracted more.

I hope Dimitrov takes the 2nd set, but that could mean we may not get to see the conclusion of the match today if a prolonged rain delay strikes again.

Players are warming up now. Will older Lopez take longer to warm up properly? If so, advantage to Dimitrov in this set.

Great serving from Dimitrov! 1 set all! He's looked the sharper of the two since the last rain delay.

With all due respect, though, I want to see the old guy get the win here.
