Crowd today was so garbage.
Applauding loudly at Anderson's errors/double faults and yelling before points were over.
Greeks in the crowd. Remember those matches with Baggy at AO lol. It was like Davis Cup!

Absolutely EPIC. But Nadal is famous for not letting fairy tales realise themselves. 2 possibly 3 Federer CYGS stopped by Nadal. If he beats Nadal tomorrow then he is going to be #EPIC.
Djokovic's loss is a lot worse than Zverev's or Andersons, if you look at the match stats. Djoko got outplayed quite clearly, while Zverev and Anderson had a dominance ratio of over 1.1 and only lost because of being insanely unclutchAll of a sudden Nole's loss does not look too bad...
Of course.Rublev?

Tsitsipas is 18 months older than Shapovalov last year, but on the other hand, this isn't just his break into the top 100/50. He'd already established himself in the top 30 before that. In that regard it isn't overhype.More over-hype, just like last year with Denis. His achievements were hailed in the same way. Youngest ever semi-finalist in a Masters 1000 (still stands). Youngest R16 in USO since Chang. Still, the youngest teen in top 100. So, it goes. In two weeks, it will be someone else. The hard part for Tsitsipas will be the same hurdle Shapovalov now faces along with other young players. That is, to do this consistently year after year after year like Federer and Nadal and Djokovic have done. Can he defend all these points next year? We don't know. We have to wait a year to find out. How will he finish the year? Lots of questions. No answers. A remarkable talent. That's for sure. But, the future is unwritten.

LoL imagine a Tsitsipas- bagdathis in MelbourneGreeks in the crowd. Remember those matches with Baggy at AO lol. It was like Davis Cup!
Even if Tsitsi doesn't win, his Toronto run has impressed me more than any of Zverev's masters titles.
Tsitsipas is the youngest EVER player to beat four top 10 players in the same event.
Actually, that's false. That accolade belongs to Wilander RG 1982.Tsitsipas is the youngest EVER player to beat four top 10 players in the same event.
It would have been nice if Wilander hadn't already done this.Wow! Already writing history. Future all time great for sure. I like this Tsitsi, he needs to learn how to slice though, and he could learn how to return better. He has tremendous potential, no doubt.
It never did actually. All of a sudden Nole's loss does not look too bad...

did he really said that?
I didn't see this match, but many Djoker fans says he clearly tanked the match. True?
On twitter some were saying that he was shaking his armkind of, yes....but there was some talk of the elbow again too

Does that mean he will not be at Cincy?
Yes, true, but his run has already been unique. Even if Nadal wins, it will still not be as impressive as Tsitsipas's run. I will not fault Tsitsi after what he has had to endure.
during the interview he did not mention that he had painDoes that mean he will not be at Cincy?
I'm as impressed as anyone with Tsi, but it's not like Nadal has played nobody. Stan ,while not in form is a three time slam winner and Cilic has been one of the more consistent performers of the last year and a half.
He has already done more than Zverev in slams.Hyeon Chung hasn't done much really.
Still better than Zverev in slamsToo many injuries.

Sorry but Tsits looks a lot more put-together than Dennis right now, the guy has just beaten Djok/Z/Anderson and did so with an iron will.
The fact that he lost to Zverev in DC, then came back the next week and beat him in a match that went the distance tells me everything about his mentality. He was pissed at himself during that match, made adjustments, trusted them, and executed them in a very close match. That is the mark of a future great player.
Easy to see how threatened Zverev felt after that match. Tsits was so much more humble and gracious, he really looks like Fed 2.0 in every way (even down to the abysmal challenge record).
That's just stupid. Djokovic didn't play well, but it was no real tank either.I didn't see this match, but many Djoker fans says he clearly tanked the match. True?
Titsy's run>>>>>>>>>>>>>Shaps' run. I agree
