OMG. This is ridiculous for Djokovic.
It's not a beating. It's a clear message.
These sort of matches can end careers. I mean Berrettini might be too discouraged to ever face Novak again.

This is just pitiful.I think Djokovic is almost a lock to win this tournament. Federer will have to be playing out of his mind to beat him. Djokovic is so steady from the baseline and the surface is too slow to be able to play aggressive and rush him. Federer needs Dubai court speed to have a chance.

Don't tell them lol i was trying to determine if they are actually watching the match or not. You get a feel for who is watching the match and who isn't and who just posts useless vague things to try and be relevant to a thread.
Djoko's white and blue and Berrettini's black and yellow/green sweatbands rather spoil the matching gear..

I really believe this will happen. None of the young guys are capable of winning a slam. I’d give Murray a better chance than any next gen guy.

True. I agree. The only player who I think "MIGHT" have a chance is Medvedev. I have 100% confidence in Berrettini, Zverev, Tsitsipas etc NOT winning a slam. EVER.
Also I really hope before Fedalovic retire, Fed wins Wimbledon again, Nadal wins AO and Novak wins the French.

Djokovic getting angry even tho he's in control in this match is a good sign that he's here to win the tournament. Good passion, even tho he got broken back.

Incredible performance from Berrettini. I think the 22 unforced errors in 10 games was particularly impressive.

To be fair it has a LOT to do with his opponent on the other side. Other than the big 3, can you imagine any other player doing better vs Novak in this mood?
I mean maybe Fed could compete, even Nadal would struggle against "this" Novak.

I don't care about being relevant to this thread or you. Who the f*** cares about Djokovic vs Berrettini? Everyone already knew It was going to be a massacre. There's not much to type. Just type Berrettini sucks and that covers it. Don't try that s*** again.

Read articles. There are TONS suggesting that Big 3 are over and next gen is here. Zverev HIMSELF made a statement to that effect.
All hype and talk, no substance. They won't win any slams in 2020.
The only non big 3 with a chance of a slam is Thiem at French Open IMO.
Zverev cannot be taken for real. At this year’s US Open he said: "Maybe it’s the first time since many years that I’m not one of the biggest favourite going into a Slam tournament." :-D

I agree that Thiem is very good at RG, but his problem is exactly that RG is "his" Slam, because he won’t beat Nadal there. So not really a bigger chance than maybe some others elsewhere.

It requires mental strength and resilience, though.

Which Berrittini clearly does NOT have. If he did, he would have won the 1st set vs Nadal at the UsOpen where the Spaniard was crapping hard.
A potential great player can be seen in advance.
Berrettini does not have the mental cojones to stand up to the big guys. He won't win anything significant IMO. EVER.

Any of the Big 3 playing at a high level will basically own any other player on tour.

I don't agree. Thiem can DEFINITELY beat Nadal at RG. Nadal is declining and aging every year.
Had Thiem NOT player for 4 consecutive days in 2019 F.O the match would have been closer. As it is, it went to 4 sets and Nadal was cramping hard at the end.
2020 Nadal is 1 year older. Thiem is making progress every year - getting closer and closer. And Nadal gets worse every year at RG. Nadal of 2017>>Nadal of 2018>>> Nadal of 2019.
I think he CAN for sure beat Nadal at RG. Nadal lose to scrubs during the clay season in 2019. It will be harder as he ages.
